Yeah, I know, I friggin dipstick. But I aint waitin till the rods are knocking to put oil in it dammit!! ?
Im going to do whats needed to keep this thing until it wore slap out, which I hope is many years from now
It does look dirty (typical diesel oil condition) but Ive been right on the money w 8k changes at the dealer. Actually my last freebee is coming up soon.
Thanks for the insight, actually, looking at it this morning, it does look light purple. They are proud of it! I would use another compatible brand, but I dont want anything to mess with the warranty or give them a reason to nay-nay if a claim comes up.
i know how to read a dam dipstick, wipe, blah. I usually wipe nite before and insert, next morning pull it for a settled out read. Its always high on the backside of the stick but the hashmark side shows a little low. im just gonna use the back screw it
I know, trivial, but i cant get a straight reading on the damm dipstick. Heres what i get no matter which way i put it into the tube, the "gauged" side shows low but the backside shows high or normal. I guess use the backside and ignore the hashmarked side? PIA
I have the ACE sliders, they are good because the truck came with the Rubicon sliders and these sit just below to take most of the hit. They allow my wife easy step up, but Im 6'1" and as a step they put me up too high and I cant swing in without hitting my head....
I bought the Oracle back ups that replace the red reflectors in the bumper. Bought the harness they suggested also, and it looks like the resistors were in that harness. Anyway, no issues, did not change any settings, the harness tee's into the harness for the stock tail lights and they work...
Rustoleum rust reformer, then satin black of some kind. Ive used the VHT and Rustoleum both. I had the same messed up rubs to the bare metal in some places on the bottom of the frame. Either transport did it or factory using a forklift to haul the frames around to get to the assembly line Im...
Totally agree, I work in electric production...I can tell you the grid is already on overload and can barely maintain. It will take another 20 yrs to get it optimized no matter what the puppet idiot in the House says. Solar and wind are a fallacy, maybe if you cover every square foot of open...
Unless its a collector or very special limited edition model, NO vehicle is an investment. The depreciation kills you and if its a lemon, it becomes a money pit. The Gladiator is not that special, yes, its a pickup that Jeep hasnt had for several years, but all in all, its just another optioned...
Im assuming the blue colored anti-freeze in my '22 is a HOAT type of fluid? Ive noticed the expansion tank level has always been right at or slightly below the min fill line when the engine is cold. I want to top it up.
I would really like some more pics and what you did on this trailer if you have a min or two sometime. Im starting to draw up some ideas for a trailer now....thanks
Hey Newlife, Im in the area, over near Kingston, a little west of K-town. Looks good, Im looking for a hard shell top and bottom, and will mount on an off-road type trailer with some kayaks and other gear.
I like the tent unit, I would put that on an overland homemade trailer and be good. Whats the name of that brand, cant quite tell from the pic. James Bar--something, EVO model?
