Thanks Staches, me and the Mrs were just discussing and trying to look at historical weather data. We are gonna go to Moab, down to Yellowstone/Grand Tetons, North rim of the Grand Canyon, then swing over to relatives near Santa Fe. I figured Yellowstone would still be snowbound.
Wife and I are planning a trip in May from East Tn to Sante Fe, NM to see her son (my Step son). Would welcome comment or suggestions on places to go that eould be within a 100 miles or so. Want to do some wheeling and see popular places. Nothing too extreme, I need to drive the 1500 miles back...

I agree, putting 35's on my diesel Willys and swapping out the 3.73 to a 4.11 will essentually return to the same affective gear ratio within about 100 rpm. That plus the GDE tune i will be set
Proper inflation, rotation at least every oil change, check alignment at a good shop, that only does alignments, make sure shocks are not worn out and suspension is tight and in good condition.

I hear ya, only reason they get near it is for warranty....my first oil change there was oil all over the frame and wiring on the filter side (diesel). I never went back for any more
In my area, in the mid south, the SxS's have ruined most of the good trails and areas that were protected by the Jeep and 4x4 folks, who help keep the areas in good shape. Large hordes of these gather then do stupid human tricks and try to tear up areas outside of the normal trails. This carries...
