  1. Anyone notice Off Road Pages is now listed as a Guardian service?

3G was no longer relevant over a decade ago, but was sunset within the last two years by all carriers. I would assume once 4g is replaced with microchips in our brains that feed directly into ChatGPT, a subsidiary of Google, Amazon, Tesla and Meta - it will be 15-20 years from now. A lot of...
  2. Factory Auxiliary wires to bus bar…

I’m only mad I didn’t think of this! Looks fantastic and it’s clean.
  3. Major Failure at 30k

I think it’s just frustration from OP honestly. Most people now a days have no technical knowledge of how anything in their life actually works, they want to hit a button, pull a lever, tap a screen and it magically works. With what we pay manufacturers, that’s the expectation. Reality and...
  4. Major Failure at 30k

A big part of whatyou’re saying is why I didn’t install the derringer in my truck. Too much pressure can mess things up, engineers typically create tolerances for a reason and the ecldiesel was plenty strong for my liking.
  5. Major Failure at 30k

Lucky as in your Jeep broke? No. Lucky as in your engine didn’t runaway and seriously injure or worse anyone? Absolutely. Rusty recommended you look up a video on what that looks like… here’s one because sounds like you didn’t.
  6. MINIMUM Tools To Have On The Trail

I just have the snap on truck follow me around. Can’t ever be too careful.
  7. 4 years, 75k miles across 48 states- Why I loved it and why I sold it (3.0 diesel)

Very well said.. my tiktok brain had a hard time holding on for that long.. but very well said. I had mine for roughly 34 or 35k before trading in - albeit I never had any major mechanical failures outside of an ABS sensor and a water pump that started to go. I too often worried about the...
  8. Where to buy a built Gladiator

That’s got to be the most humble thing I’ve see on this here forum. You sir, have the Jeep any of us would build if time, money and life was no object!
  9. Where to buy a built Gladiator

I think depends on your need, budget and timeline. A rig on Dana 60’s, 40’s and a hemi? AMW or a speciality shop, Rubitrux is also reputable from my understanding. A mostly turn key rig for mild wheeling but not fully breaking the bank? Dealers will sometimes unfit and stock some mildly built...
  10. Diesel Aux Battery - How do I delete it?

Throw a lift and 37's and you need a ladder to get to it.. but not too bad of a job as far as jobs go.
  11. Diesel Aux Battery - How do I delete it?

Probably the only thing easy on the ecodiesel is the battery swap... you can get it from the top after taking the main one off.
  12. Diesel Aux Battery - How do I delete it?

From what I understand, the diesel doesn’t require you to pull a fuse. Just tape off the negative battery terminal after disconnecting it from your main battery. Here’s the exact video I followed. I believe this guy is on the forum too, also a master tech for Honda I think.
  13. Diesel Aux Battery - How do I delete it?

I followed what Wlflandoverland or something like that on Youtube did.. but that means messing up your OEM harness by prying on it and what not... If I had another JTRD and was deleting the aux battery again... I'd just tape off the aux leads as you can hide it and it is easily reversible. I...
  14. Diesel Aux Battery - How do I delete it?

Take it out and remove the harness for your aux battery too.
  15. Stiffen Up the Steering Feel?

If all your components are good… I wouldn’t waste money making it drive like a rack and pinion when it’s not that and not designed to be that. Help your new driver get used to it. A friend drove my HD and mentioned that the steering feels a lot different than his 1500, when I drove his 1500 I...
  16. Another trip to Wolf Caves

Looks like fine. This is only an hour away from our family’s property… might be worth checking out this December!
  17. I've lived too long with 37's and the 4.10 gears in my Rubicon.

5.13 will set you up for the future, especially if 38 or 39 are in your future. $3,400 total parts, labor, shop fees, etc. is not too far off. If you google or ChatGPT it you’ll find that’s pretty much what you should expect for labor + parts.
  18. engine replacement advice request

My bad somehow missed it. Well… it’s been driven. Maybe figure out what another shop would charge to fix your motor in the first place? OEM service depts typically mean OEM premiums.
  19. engine replacement advice request

What's the mileage and year of your truck?
  20. engine replacement advice request

All I can I say OP is, I’m sorry. Have you had the job quoted anywhere? I bet it won’t be cheap.
