I have seen about a dozen of them on the road now in the Seattle/Snoqualmie area, but always ON the road. They seem like a cool vehicle, just not for me!
I love my molle panels. Have all my recovery gear, tools and air compressor mounted to it. For camping I use my 45q ROAM cooler fits perfectly under the factory tonneau cover.
I'm a traveling tech in WA, I can confirm it's been working it's way south over the last couple years. Home town of Centralia has a camp visible from the freeway. Nothing being done to stop it from spreading.
Replacing the knee speakers without an amp or head unit upgrade I have noticed a reduced volume. The loudest I would go before the upgrade is 20, now I'll crank it up to 22 (sport s 5" radio) for the same volume level.
As far as difference in sound quality I do notice one. Clearer highs and...
I upgraded the knee speaker pods to accommodate 6.75" Rockford Punch speakers. I currently have 6x9" 3 way speakers on order with the MB Quart JE1-169SB for the sound bar.
If they ever are in stock again I'm planning to get Terra acoustics for the dash speakers.
Need to decide on sub placement...
I adhered them to the bottom of the trail rails. The adhesive held well for a while but the ends started to peel. I added a zip tie at each end of the strip around the trail rail since that's where it was peeling away from.
If I were to do it again, I would go to the bed liner and I would use...
I ended up tapping them into the bed lights using the same route you are thinking. One strip to the left bed light the other to the right thru that preexisting hole. I got rid of the switch and Y harness. No issues with this setup.
Swapped the knee speaker pods and threw in some 6.75" Rockford Punch I had sitting around. No photos of the dash torn apart. Drivers side is as annoying as everyone says it is to swap.
Last week I put the following on my sport s max tow
Rubi fox shocks front and rear
Rubi springs on front
3/4" leveling kit from RC on front.
Rake eliminated and like the stance now.
