Of course! Also look into wheels, tires, suspension, etc that are taken off of Rubicons as others are upgrading. Take off wheels and tires are going to be the cheapest way to get up to a beefy AT tire and 17" rim, with the added benefit of being OE quality parts.
The teraflex 1-1.5" front leveling kit will come up as the most common, its reviewed really highly and is simple to install. There are others that are more "complete" with some geometry brackets and stuff that aren't 100% necessary on only 1.5".
If your buying wheels anyways, 17 are the way to...
Parts manager wasn't specific on which he was missing, but did say the depot he ordered from out of Detroit had them on the shelf to overnight but it was kind of outside the process to get it that way. (Dealership is in Minneapolis area)
Drop my JT off at the dealership this morning for the TSB and fell victim to the "we have the steering box, but not the new bolt" problem. I knew it was too good to be true that my dealer ordered the parts on January 2nd, and got them on the 9th. They had the bolt on order it just didn't come in...
Thanks for the link! I had never heard of this before. I'd be up for it sometime this spring or summer. I will need to look into the route more and find a spot or two to camp out. It is like a 7 hour drive to the ND side or 3 ish to the superior side from me so I would want to do it over a...
I do have a new steering box on order at the dealership to clear up wandering and the oversized dead spot in the steering common with 2020's. I was still comfortable at highway speeds the truck just needed a lot more input than if should to keep tracking straight, so my experience was a bit...
Spacers aren't in yet in this photo but I have the .75" daystar kit sitting waiting for a warm day or a buddy with a heated garage to help me throw them in.
Tires are 34.2x11.5 (295/70r18) and rqlly make the 18" overland rims look good.
I couldn't be happier with my Overland. The leather trimmed interior and seats are more important to me than a disconnecting swaybar. I optioned the Traclock LSD which has so far proven to be enough for my needs over a set of lockers I would use once or twice a year.
Combine the LSD with a...
Its does a ton of cool things for that $300 though, tire size, gear ratio, auto start stop off, rear camera turning on when you turn on your blinker, check and clear engine codes etc. If you ever need a dealer flash for anything its probably just worth it to grab a tazer.
I paid $200 too, but it took me waiting it out a bit and making an offer to a guy who hadn't even bought his lift yet.
I bet the guy that had them listed at $999 was a dOnT lOw BAll mE I KnOw wHAt I GoT type guy too. Have seen a few of those on the local craigslist.
I've noticed location matters a lot for the suspension take offs. Around me in MN supply is low so they get picked up for $300-400. $200 isn't uncommon though but tend to go fast, and you don't see many in this price range any more.
Wheels and tires seem to be in the $1000 range like the other...
