  1. How to unplug 7pin wiring harness from under the truck?

Agree on the door connector. Pretty poor design for a connector that is supposed to be used a lot. I also nominate the fog light connector on the passenger side near the bumper, and that one for the parking lights when you remove the front fenders. My song on the JL forum went similar to...
  2. How to unplug 7pin wiring harness from under the truck?

I hope the engineers that design those electrical connectors on our vehicles were in the layoff list.
  3. I just saw this at Harbor Freight today.

Yep, I bought it when they first came out. You can never have enough spare 10mm sockets when you own a Jeep JL or JT. I still have all 10 in that set, missing a couple 10mm in some other socket sets.
  4. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

Nothing exciting like the great deed done by Zero_Accel above. Just some routine truck stuff. Taking it to the mower shop. Need to get a lower drop hitch.
  5. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Installed the Oracle Tail lights. Passenger side was an EZ install. Driver side harness was a bitch to disconnect and then the Oracle connector did not want to go onto the harness connector. I tried a little dielectric grease and still could not get it to go on. Cleaned off the grease, gave...
  6. Why don’t more people drive naked?

I have a Corvette convertible that satisfies both my need for speed and top off (down) driving. The heat and humidity here make going sans A/C very unpleasant most of the spring, summer, and fall. The nice days are now, with the rainy season coming to an end. We might have a few weeks of...
  7. Goodies from FCA

Nope, all I got was a welcome letter pamphlet and a bunch of junk mail trying to get me to buy a new RAM.
  8. Muscle Cars/Hot Rods lets see your other rides

Nice ride. Back in the 70's I owned a 1970 Challenger T/A, hemi orange, torqueflite trans. They came with a 340 six pack engine, with reverse flow mufflers under the trunk and the exhaust outlets were chrome tips in front of the rear wheels. Reverse flow hampered output, glass packs straight...
  9. Oracle tail lights

OKAY, order is in. Thanks Terry. I will catch the next sale event for the backup lights and harness.
  10. Oracle tail lights

Terry, Would ordering direct from Oracle ensure I would get a set of the newer batches? Thanks.
  11. Oracle tail lights

I have had the oracle tail lights on my list for over a year. Every time I get to a point where I am ready to buy, new posts about failures always seem to show up on this forum or the JL forum. I get that Oracle customer service is great and they back up their products, but who wants to keep...
  12. Bolt Hood Lock Kit... Seriously??

Thanks. I live in Sunny Florida, too. No road salt here. I do drive on the beach. Once a year I use a teflon lubricant on all my locks, auto, home, outdoor, padlocks on gates and sheds, etc.
  13. Bolt Hood Lock Kit... Seriously??

    Thanks very much.
  14. Bolt Hood Lock Kit... Seriously??

Do you have a link to the one that mounts with no trimming of the grill if you don't use the rubber cover? TIA
  15. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Stock suspension with Mopar lift LCAs (24 inches long stock rubicon LCA, 24 1/4 inch Mopar lift LCA). 1/4 inch pushed my caster angle out above 6, that's stock height without any lift. Drives nice.
  16. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Alignment specs after adding the MOPAR LCAs, sorry I do not have a spec sheet from before the install. Got the caster above 6. The truck drives pretty straight now with minimal effort. In my opinion, this is a worthwhile mod on Mohaves and Rubicons if no lift is planned. Glad I did it.
  17. Muscle Cars/Hot Rods lets see your other rides

My Modern Hot Rod. Last of its kind. 2019 Z06 7 SPD MANUAL CONVERTIBLE -last year of the manual transmission Corvette.
  18. Control Arm Bolts

That is what I did yesterday. Torqued all 4 LCA bolts to 103 ft. lbs, then marked 145 degrees. For some reason, my DeWalt DCF899H wouldn't move them to the mark, it got them to about 110-120 degrees. I then tried to move them with a 36 inch breaker bar, they did not budge, so I said good...
  19. Control Arm Bolts

This is the one I have. 1/2 in. Drive 50-250 ft. lb. Professional Flex Head Click Torque Wrench (harborfreight.com) I have not seen an AMX in years. Buddy had a 390 4 spd back in the day. It was fast. My 340 Duster could not keep up. Love it when Shadow's Poppa posts pictures that include...
  20. Control Arm Bolts

I have a set of those and they are very useful for many applications. Question is, how do you use them on the front bolts of the LCAs? Easy to use on the rear bolts, no room up front to use these to tighten from my experience. And to loosen on the passenger side front bolts for the LCAs, I...
