Cool have at it.
Since you are basing that entirely on conjecture maybe you'll want to send an IM to the guy with the Black Series who is experiencing everything you hope you won't.
Hope is not a strategy.
Look right up there to see a guy who isn't experiencing joy at something well below 7000 pounds.
Is the factory tow rating qualified by distance? Of course it's not.
If you can't tow it with relative impunity for whatever distance you may choose, then the trailer is too heavy.
I'm going to...
I'm quoting this again because this guy is experiencing exactly what you guys say he won't experience with a trailer that is well below the advertised tow rating.
And he is experiencing that on road, and although it is indeterminate apparently a fairly short distance.
4th gear on "long gradual...
Link to people pulling 7000 pound trailers with a JT for "very long distances"?
But first let's define "very long distances".
For me a "very long distance" would begin at 1000 miles one way.
I have pulled far too many trailers in the 7-13k class with far more capable tow vehicles than a JT...
"Struggling with" does not equal "not feel the trailer back there"
The only reason I have to have a trailer behind my Gladiator is for entertainment and relaxation, that's it. There is a point that I arbitrarily and unscientifically assign in factory rated tow points that towing becomes work...
Mine have 20k on them and although I have not measured the tread depth would say they are 60% tread remaining. They will do 50k with relative ease, this pic is less than 60 days old, they have been rotated twice
Meh, if it had a lifetime warranty I'd buy one, but they don't so I won't.
GG is about double the oem piece, JK/JL/JT windshields are flat as can be and fragile as shit. I just quit buying them unless it won't pass inspection.
What you see in my avatar. The light bar is a KC Gravity Pro6 with amber Lamin-X on the 4 outer and on the factory led fogs. In that picture there are covers on the 4 inner lights that have clear Lamin-X on them.
My steering doesn't wander, but my roof definitely leaks. I also have an ARE topper installed, as well as having zero degrees of confidence that the dealership can and will address this reasonably. I base that largely on the ineffective nature that they addressed the wind leak and some lug nuts...
LOL, I remember when they were metal and riveted on :)
I just take them off if they put one on, no need in creating a scene of making a point of it, the guy making those decisions isn't going to be the guy you are dealing with. It's like complaining to a waitress about the decor, you're just...
