After many trips to multiple arts and crafts stores, many failed tests and running out of places the trim would hide my test spots, I finally finished "dying" my threads. I ended up using this product...
I'm pretty sure if you unplug the TaZer, you have to plug them back in to the SGW, but I haven't tried running my truck when I remove the Tazer for service.
I got the same email. My order is spread across three deliveries. The wheel took 7 days to deliver and the rest of the parts should be today and tomorrow.
I was going to reach out to them when I got my parts installed and let them know that I know they're working on it, but that I am looking forward to the release of the feature. That way they know they're not just trying to accommodate one or tow people's request and I'm not asking for something...
My steering wheel came today. Before I shipped it off, I asked about the heating element and was told I would lose that option if the wheel was recovered. I may just have to take a black sharpie to the stitches so they don't stand out.
I found a great product to get the mud "stains" off the tires, but I cannot find anything that will get the dirt stains off the tonneau cover to make it look close to new.
I finally got a quote to restitch the steering wheel. $399+shipping. They have to replace all the leather on the steering wheel because of the style of stitching. That is almost what I paid for all of the items to do the conversion. On the plus side, I could choose to do all smooth leather...
My brother did the same thing in his F450 with a Raptor steering wheel too. It looks/works great!
My point by linking the thread was that you don't need to run any wires, it is a simple reprogramming once you install the hardware. Or do you prefer running the wires over the reprograming?
I would not use a soft shackle on a traditional snatch block. I watched a video from Windrock in TN where the snatch block sliced through the soft shackle and sent parts flying.
If you're not interested in the thicker steering wheel and only interested in the paddles, then the 392 wheel doesn't buy you much and you may be able to wait for a solutionwith the stock wheel. I miss my thick steering and look forward to to my order arriving!
I'm not sure I follow your question. The 392 wheel is thicker like the Mojave wheel, but also has provisions for the paddle shifters. What do you mean by a Rubi wheel solution? Adding paddle shifters without swaping out the steering wheel?
IIRC from my SRT Grand Cherokee days you can hold the up or down paddle (not sure which or if both will do it) for a few seconds and it will go back in to the normal D mode.
