  1. Midlife Crisis? Hemi Conversion

Either way....talking 10 MPG vs. 12 or 13 MPG.....thats going to make or break your decision?
  2. Midlife Crisis? Hemi Conversion

Best thing I can tell you is if MPGs is even a consideration - don't get any of them. Part of the reason I initially went with the 5.7 was to be conservative and I never stopped kicking myself for doing so. On top of mileage being a concern fuel prices are going to be hitting $5 a gallon in...
  3. Midlife Crisis? Hemi Conversion

Yep! That was my exact experience. I went through multiple build stages. Started with a supercharger, went to an AMW installed 5.7 and then to a Hellcat. The 5.7 was plenty in the JT - I also own a few 6.4s. My build got so extensive - I just wanted more power to go with it. Now running...
  4. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

LOL - maybe your right......but people could think its way slower than it is :)! Either way - its just fun to drive! You know first hand!

Anybody with ears knows this isn't a 4XE. The cab is blacked out....no one can see inside except me. Thats the only indication. The exterior has only stock Rubicon stickers.

Hi Everyone, Sorry for a long break of silence. Hope the holiday season was great for everyone! I did get my truck back late Wednesday night. I have to unpack some things with AMW here before I go writing any reviews, thoughts or grievances. Here are a few pictures from after I got it home.
  7. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

It was enough but the 5.7 is actually now out of it.
  8. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

No it did not break. It's in for a planned upgrade.
  9. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

All of us are winning, right? All on the same team! I love the Hydro Blue!
  10. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

I had a 65 Sting Ray with the Chevy 350 in it. Always thought that was more than enough power in that little thing. I am pretty true to brand.....so I would personally stick with a Chevy engine in a Vette. Thats just me though....tons of people have thrown the LS in older model Wranglers too.
  11. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

A few additional snaps of the new powertrain landing.
  12. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

You wouldn't go with an LS? I'd personally want to stick with a powertrain relevant to the vehicle.
  13. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

It's a work in progress. At the end of the day I feel like they are taking care of me. I'll let you know how it all turns out at the end of the day.
  14. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

No, as of yesterday it was removed.
  15. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

Honestly, I have no idea. I know they don't openly offer or do many 5.7 installs.
  16. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

Well folks.....we are back at it!
  17. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

My wife ditched her BMW X5 - M for the 392 Wrangler. Wranglers are quiet refined and roomy :)!
  18. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

Yeah - the one tons and 40s make a pretty substantial difference. I am glad I went that route - it drives drastically better than it did with stock axles on 37s. I don't think I ever updated my thread either. I bought my oldest a 2014 JK a few months ago and then decided to upgrade it to a...
  19. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

I think you would be happiest with the turnout going that way. I've done a bunch of my own builds in the past and they just have so much Jeep knowledge .... around me there isn't a single place that understands Jeep suspension like these guys.
  20. My 5.7L Hemi Gladiator Conversion

Man - should have gotten that all done when you did the powertrain :)! I am one to talk I guess......being that I am going back for a 2nd round of upgrades. Looking like it won't just be a powertrain swap either but.....I don't want to say to much as some of the goodies are still in R&D.
