I didn’t try adjusting the standard latches. With the locking latches I used on the first JT, there was about 1/8” of play and that was enough to adjust tension.
Thank you for pointing it out! I thought I’d read the whole thing but sure didn’t see it. I understand the risk with used and will probably go with a new one. Will read through the entire thread again tomorrow before ordering anything. Thank you again!
On my 22 JT Rubicon I used a Clayton overland plus 2.5” lift, Falcon 3.1 shocks, Fox ats steering stabilizer, and had 37” Baja Boss tires. It not only gave me more than enough room for the 37s, it rode and drove much better than it did stock. Completely got rid of all wandering and tracked...
I’m about a month in now and loving the diesel. It doesn’t feel like I’ve done much to it yet by there are a few things I’ve added.
Went with a Banks Derringer tuner, iDash and reused the Pedal Monster from my 3.6. The Derringer added noticeable power. Pedal Monster got rid of throttle lag and...
My JTR did until I switched to locking hood latches but the 23 diesel doesn’t with stock latches. Driving in to a 20mph head wind today it didn’t move
Trying to make sure I'm going about this the correct way. I can get a new ECU, part 68256850AA, for about $250. Then order one of the SM2 PRO 1.20 kits like this and that will allow me to clone my own ECU using a Windows 10 computer? Assuming I'm going to try this myself, is using a new ECU...
I got $32k for a 22 Rubicon two weeks ago. Mine was in similar condition with similar mods except higher quality lift, shocks, bumpers, and had 47k on it. I think the other posts are correct with $30k being what I’d hope to get. Ask 34k and see what happens
I never had a warranty problem with the Clayton 2.5” lift and 37s on my last Gladiator but my dealer was fine with mods. I also never needed warranty work on anything related to the suspension. It really all comes down the dealership.
On my last one, I went to 35” tires within a few months but...
The plan when I got an all white diesel a few weeks ago was to replace the grille with a black one. I didn’t care for the new style when it was released but after seeing them on the road for a while I’ve come around. I remember the temperature testing that was talked about back in 23 and at the...
Last time I spoke to them on the phone was a few months ago but had no trouble getting them to answer. They were also good about replying to email but that was a couple years ago. The only number I have for them is 435-752-4580 and that is what is listed on there site
Thank you for the detailed reply. I'm not sure what the best option will be for me. The girl I spoke with today was in customer service and didn't know which options would be missing if I went to a stand alone 66711. She is having someone more experienced with the Gladiator diesel call me...
Had to leave my number with Banks this morning and they called back a few minutes ago. What they tell me is that the Derringer needs my non bluetooth modem iDash to function correctly. They said I can add the 66711 as a secondary display that would be controllable with Bluetooth. They did say...
Yes I think so too and that would be convenient. I did get the layout working yesterday. Apparently my usual, keep hitting buttons until it does what I want, does not work with the idash. Once I got close enough to the screen to read the tiny writing it was much easier
That is exactly what I'm looking for. I'll call them in the morning and see what I need to do to move to the 66711. I doubt they will let me exchange this one because I had to cut the threaded studs off the back to install it in an upper stealth pod, but hopefully they will be able to do...
