  2. You ever have a stranger compliment your Jeep?

I'm 40, I did that 4 jeeps ago and moved to Colorado for a few years. She's a good one. She was the one that told me to go buy the Gladiator and let me dump 15k into it. Lol
  3. You ever have a stranger compliment your Jeep?

Well, today, I stopped at a check point and this girl goes on about my Jeep. I was not shy about bragging on my build. Pulled vid due to privacy concerns.
  4. Diff Cover install , 4.88 gear inspection, and gear oil change. Royal Purple may hurt your diff?

If someone watches the video, all this is covered. I promise it wasn't intentional and was solely based on products I had in my diff.
  5. Time to Max Out the Max Tow Axles

Looks great man, my rear axle needed to have the new multi lip race replaced after my first install. I had to beat that thing hard to get the race out. Even with applying heat.. After that mine has been flawless as well. Excited for you bro. These arbs are fun. I try to find places to slide and...
  6. Diff Cover install , 4.88 gear inspection, and gear oil change. Royal Purple may hurt your diff?

Thanks brother, appreciate you posting up. The source of the good info in this vid was from Scott who works for Jeep/FCA/Stellantis in MI. He builds his Jeeps with ARB as well.
  7. Diff Cover install , 4.88 gear inspection, and gear oil change. Royal Purple may hurt your diff?

I Would say your point is about making generalizations, but then you start your reply with "click bait" warning. Have you even checked out the video? I think you missed the mark but made a good point on the way there. I had Royal Purple in the diff. Not another brand. If I had put some other...
  8. Diff Cover install , 4.88 gear inspection, and gear oil change. Royal Purple may hurt your diff?

Not all gear oils are made equally I was originally running Royal Purple but a Jeep engineer warned me its not right for my Jeep. Here is why.
  9. My 35 spline rear axle shaft install with ARB RD246

5.13 are going to be better if you are going direct to 40s. At that size you need to truss your axle and weld the seams. It will eventually spin the housing.
  10. My 35 spline rear axle shaft install with ARB RD246

Its the same part number rd 246 35 spline front or rear. The gear size changes front to rear, not the diff casing.
  11. There is no debate, go 4.88 gear review Part 2 0-60 MPG and Towing Considerations

I personally think its preference. You will get some more acceleration but a smaller pinion head. Even if its slightly smaller and therefore less strong, it leave less error for material hardening and shock loads. I'm a 4.88 guy personally. The 8 speed is so good, no need for a super deep gear...
  12. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Number of turns lock to lock. Jt one is faster since its longer wheelbase. The jl is slower lock to lock for shorter wheelbase.
  13. JKS JT Swaybar Disconnect install

This is my latest install video of my build. The discos will allow me to test out suspension flex on a Gladiator Sport S with a Mopar 2 inch Suspension. The shocks have about 9 inches of travel. A good dual sport setup for every day driving and offroad use. If you are new to the platform, this...
  14. Are all sway bar quick disconnects created equal?

I am on my 3rd set of JKS units. Awesome parts and well designed. It even includes brackets to get them up and out of the way.
  15. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

I know many of you have already reported back but I had the tsb done. My dealer was very supportive and worked to get the best timeliness that we could. Many are experiencing long wait times. I would recommend finding a dealer that will work with you. Even if you have to drive a long way.
  16. Impressions after having STEEL steering box TSB completed

Not my dealer. I have invested a lot of time in getting to know them, and spend money with them.
  17. Broken RCV Pics/Video

I am with Bastage, I have the 35 rear spline shafts for peace of mind but the fronts i left alone. The fronts tend to twist rather than snap if they are carbon steel. For the offroading I do, I am not sure I am going to upgrade at the moment. BUT I LOVE those cv style ball joints. Those are the...
  18. There is no debate, go 4.88 gear review Part 2 0-60 MPG and Towing Considerations

After I changed the oil I threw some new diff covers on to complete the build.
  19. There is no debate, go 4.88 gear review Part 2 0-60 MPG and Towing Considerations

500 mile update. Just pulled my diffs apart. 500 miles. Gears look good and are meshing well. No noise to worry about. One update that is more ARB locker specific but I dumped the Royal Purple and changed to regular 85w140 oil. The seals in the ARB can go bad with Royal Purple due to friction...
