We have a beach cottage down there and make sure we stay home during that weekend or rent it out. It is way more non-Jeepers than Jeepers in my experience. Lots more of people in Polaris going crazy in my opinion.
I don't think I asked the right question or asked the question right. There is some sort of bracket attached to the rack towers. Is that the backing plate? It's taking the place of the Max Modulus brackets in the OP example right?
This looks great. Where did you get the brackets to attach to the unistrut? You attached the no weld towers to them, right? I was considering bed rail clamps (if I can find them) and L-Brackets before I saw this.
On my 88 Wrangler (yes, I'm that old too), I had a soft top with non-locking doors and they still cut the windows out to get in. They stole my golf shoes and a box of cassettes and left the lift and pull out stereo in. There are all sorts of thieves and you'll never protect from all of them. I...
I added this simple mod for about $15 of stuff from Home Depot. Yeah, I know someone could still cut it with a knife, but I feel better knowing I am keeping opportunistic thieves out. Simple solution and I can also run this and a spare through the handles of my toolbox and storage boxes when I...
Love the white. Makes it so much nicer in the Texas heat. Going with tan sunshade for when I have the doors off, but have black sunrider twill and black tube doors on the way.
Good to know. I really like the fact that they work with the Rubi rails, so that is the preferred route for me as well. My 5' tall wife will just need to make do until they get in.
I had good luck with my demo unit which had the hardtop headliner. My final unit did not have this and the road noise is significant at 70+ which people can hear and have commented on. I am waiting on Hotheads headliners with the noise assassin strips to come in to get back to a normal level...
Where did you get this panel? What does the third switch control if there are only two outlets? are you running that inline from the battery to an Anderson connector or something similar or just using it as another switch for an existing or new AUX switch?
I installed a Pedal Commander in mine and it really makes it peppy around town. Sport+ mode is ridiculous, but Sport mode is great and even City mode is a marked improvement.

Any thoughts whether these brackets from Max-Modular (the lower half that exits the bed rail vertically) could be used to mount a solid plate that would act like the roof gutters? If so, I think that opens up a variety of off the shelf Thule equipment to work with a roll top tonneau cover...
It seems to me that any of the AUX switches could be used to power a relay on and off that connected directly to the battery and passed as much power as you wanted (appropriate to wire gauge and fusing of course). Is there any reason that this would not work?
Also, if you install an AC...
Watching this as well. I am very interested in keeping and using regularly the factory rolling tonneau cover. I use mine as a daily driver and the bed serves as my trunk. I keep major stuff in bins and tied down, but wan to to fit small loose stuff etc. in the gaps between the wheels, etc...
Take it back to Line-X. Great company and they should stand behind it if they caused it They would have removed them and replaced them for the bedliner install. I just used the Line-X in Austin to do mine and they did a great job masking the open screws so I did not have to retap them to add...
