I'd like to offer a suggestion. And this may be something that you and/or the shop may have already checked. Make sure all connections are checked. There's a reason I say this. I did a video on my YT channel back in 2020. I had a few of the same symptoms as yourself. Dealer checked it out and...
It's amazing to me how whenever someone has an electrical issue, their first and only answer is to change and/or delete the batteries. They just automatically want to start spending money on parts. No one ever diagnose issues anymore. They do the same thing with these death wobble questions.
Had that issue in one of my Broncos. Thousands of dollars later, one shop washed to take a look. They said, turn the engine over. At the same time, they were turning the shop lights back on. While it was still dark, they saw a wire from the distributor arcing against the block. Put on a butt...
You can get those kits off of Amazon for $15-$30. I've ordered quite a few for our jt and jku. I keep losing them. Lol
And the manual can be downloaded.
You're welcome.
And I'll tell you something else because you brought it up. This is my daily driver. Even though I have driven and wheeled it everywhere from TX, to FL, to WV, I still use it to drive to work, travel, and offroad. I have 152,000 miles so far.
I've had everything from a 22'...
I've had the Mopar lift with a 3/4" spacer (for weight) on my Jeep for almost 4yrs. There is a couple other things to look at like backspacing, fenders, bumpstops, etc. And aIso what your plans are. I have a 2019 Overland. I have 37x13.50s. My wheels are 17x9, 4.5in backspace, and -12mm offset...
37x13.50R17 Yokohama Geo X-AT on 17x9 AR Baja II wheels. Been on as my daily for almost three years. Before that 35s of the same tire was my daily. Also offroad, rock crawl, and tow with the same tires.
My suggestion is (like most others have done), make something yourself because it will depend on what you have on your truck to work around.
Top Pic: When I had my bed rack, I built a rack and mounted on the side that I can swivel upwards to access the inside of the bed from the side. I also...
@ShadowsPapa said it in a comment to someone else about making adjustments. The reason I bring that up is because if you're attempting to correct the tracking of the jeep, you may need to just make adjustments. Just because you change to an aftermarket track bar, that most likely won't fix it...
No kidding! It was his exact words. A tech at a tire shop. Made me so nervous, I think I checked the torque on my wheels as well. I would have rather him said that he couldn't do it than to say that. Lol
One other thing. Funny you mention loctite. When you get a new pitman nut for the JT and...
Gulches depends on the weather. If it's wet, it's gonna be rough. If it's dry, it's more fun. I've been there a few times. The first time I went in my JT was a few years ago. Did one of the harder trails like Shipwreck in my Overland. No lockers. Wasn't easy, but I learned.
There's always folks...
I've had my JT since June 2019 and have been towing and offroading/rock crawling since. I towed our 3200lb camper for a couple years, tow our 16' ATV trailer all the time, a teardrop camper, and a couple weekends ago, I towed a 4,000lb trailer from TX to FL.
The only time I do pay attention to...
Yep. Exactly!!! I bought another nut and torqued it myself. The crazy thing is that I had to get new tires installed and I asked the tire shop if they could torque it while they had it in the air. After the tire install, I asked the tech if he did that. The tech says to me, "yea, I tightened it...
If you have the aluminum steering box, complain about it and see if they will change it because of the TSB. But the issue will still be present if you have the steel steering box if everything isn't torqued properly.
I did a video on my youtube channel a couple years ago where my steering box...
I have the metalcloak sector shaft brace on mine. It works. There's no in between when it comes to certain components. Either they work or they don't and the Metalcloak brace works. And it's not an expensive component. I have a the mopar lift with 3/4" spacer up front. No clearance issues. Even...
2019 Overland. 2.5" Mopar lift. 37x13.50-17" Yoko Geo X-AT tires. Quiet on the road up until about 30,000 miles (If you offroad and rock crawl). I got 52,000 miles out of my last set. I run American Racing Baja II wheels. They're light and not expensive so it doesn't bother me when I bash them...
Yea. There is a noticeable lag between the movement of the tires & steering wheel and what it displays on the dash. It would be interesting to see if that same lag is in the app as well.
