I say this respectfully and not trying to be an a-hole, but those statements make me thing you haven’t owned, or even driven, a diesel in a very long time. They certainly used to be that way, but they got better. They got A LOT better.
There are plenty of stations around here that have diesel.
Almost every station along a hwy will have at least one diesel pump. It’s not really that much of an adjustment.
I can’t be sure on that extended tank. For one, the underside of the JT and JL are not the same behind the rear seats...
Here are my use cases to justify getting a diesel.
1. Overlanding - increased range
2. Towing in the mountains - 3.6 kinda sucked on the Super Ike and that's an area I will be towing.
3. GLORIOUS TORQUE!! - Forced induction on the 3.6 would cost as much as the diesel while voiding the warranty...

The Ford dealer won't let it go. They have the PERFECT Raptor for me, if I were to get one. No $2000 Raptor stickers (yea, they cost that much). No fake carbon fiber accents, just the top package, 802a, panoramic moon roof, and a spray in bed liner. That MSRPs for $68700 but now they're putting...
Then figure that Super or Turbo charging the 3.6L will cost roughly $5000 and the diesel makes more sense.
Also, for me, forced induction isn’t a good idea since we don’t have any gas with a higher octane rating than 91. Most solutions require 93. The. there are all those blown engines like...
