  1. thinking about trading my JTR with a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4WD 2.0 turbo gas

You’re correct that the manufacture says mid grade is ok. They recommend premium though. Best to use premium if you’d like it to last past warranty.
  2. thinking about trading my JTR with a Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon 4WD 2.0 turbo gas

My wife has a 2021 2.0t wrangler and I have a 2022 JTR MT. The wrangler gets significantly better MPGs on trips and is more comfortable pulling light trailer loads. I think this is more a difference of pulling with the auto vs manual though. Also, the 2.0t requires premium. Not really a...
  3. Would you buy a diesel gladiator again?

Same here. I was really bummed when they announced no manual for the diesel. Complicated and expensive emissions systems turned me off after that. I’m pretty happy with the 3.6 manual though, but diesel paired with the manual would have been icing on the cake.
  4. Anyone else freaking love their truck?

Anyone else freaking love their truck? I’ve had my JTR Manual for a year and a half now and couldn’t be happier. It’s the best. That’s all.
  5. Stop sale on manual transmission Gladiators (clutch assembly may overheat, causing a fire)

Pretty sure these are the original stock clutch parts. Someone more knowledgeable can confirm, but it doesn’t appear to be the recall fix.
  6. 5.13 with 33's

Nice. I can live with this. 80 is a rarity for me.
  7. 5.13 with 33's

I did pull from a website. Didn’t see it at first. It’s with the tire information. Door sticker is 1013lbs. I’ve needed to go on a diet for a bit now anyhow. See ya later carbs.
  8. 5.13 with 33's

This is a very good point and one I had not considered. I’ll have to do a bit of research to see if that could effect longevity. Part of me doesn’t care because I want to put a hemi in it anyhow but that’s a whole other discussion and something I won’t do for a long time.
  9. 5.13 with 33's

I’d say we’re in the same boat then. At 80mph it would just hit 3k rpm with 5.13 and 33s in 6th. Seems perfect on paper to me and also still great with 35s. Let me know how it works out for ya after the install. I’m also very interested in chucking out the dual mass flywheel.
  10. 5.13 with 33's

I am considering 4.88s but I’m worried it won’t be enough of an increase in performance to justify the install.
  11. 5.13 with 33's

That's great to hear it's worked out well for you. I agree on 1st. It really doesn't feel like it's actually 5.13:1. That's actually more of a granny gear in first than Jeep has put in in a long time.
  12. 5.13 with 33's

    You're right, I probably should do the math at least. GVWR = 6250lbs Curb Weight = 5050lbs Carry Capacity = GVWR - Curb Weight Carry Capacity = 1200lbs Fuel = 6lbs per gallon * 22gal = 132lbs All 4 passangers (Me, Wife, 1.5year old, and 2 year old) = 430lbs RTT = 150lbs Bed Cap = 250lbs Gear =...
  13. 5.13 with 33's

I have not. This is a bit overly drastic to the normal scenario. Took this for a family beach trip to OBX so a bit more gear than typical camping trip.
  14. 5.13 with 33's

I actually have. Out of all the manuals I've had, I have to work this one the hardest. Just feels like I'm really flogging it to get it going. That in it self feels like abuse to the drive train lol.
  15. 5.13 with 33's

Hey All, Looking for people to tell me if this is a good idea or not. I drive mostly city/trails with a typical trip to a trail/park under 200miles. I'm pretty unhappy with the v6/4.10 gear pairing in my JTR 6-Speed manual. I think 4.10's would be good if the v6 made more torque down low but it...
  16. Pentastar 6 vs the Wrangler 2.0

Just picked up a 2021 JL with the 2.0. I was searching for a 3.6 as I was skeptical of the 2.0. My wife really liked a Snazzberry Altitude with everything she wanted. After driving the 2.0 I am pleasantly surprised. This thing rips.
  17. Add passive entry handles to the rear doors?

I just can’t remember to touch the driver door handle first. Definitely agree it’s easy to do. Just not easy to remember. I’ll live I guess. Thanks for the replies!
  18. Add passive entry handles to the rear doors?

Anyone know if it’s possible to add passive entry handles to the rear doors? I always have a bag to throw in the back seat and i just catch seen to teach myself to touch the front handle first to unlock it. I have a 2022 Rubicon. Thanks!
  19. Deeper Gearing For The Manual

Agree 100% I drove around in 4th (which would be worse than switching to 4.88s) for a bit and mileage was just fine. I’m planning to go that gear set and Centerforce clutch. Keeping stock 33s too.
  20. Stop sale on manual transmission Gladiators (clutch assembly may overheat, causing a fire)

I asked my dealer if they’d work with me at all on a Centerforce clutch install instead of waiting for the recall solution. They said no.
