  1. PUNK'N Gladiator JT Club

Kid and I went on a front half top less drive tonight. He always has a blast when we go out with the Jeeps.
  2. Passenger Foot Space Enough For Long Trips?

Jeeps aren't very wide. Take the doors off and it will feel very narrow. But I have never thought the cabin was cramped or jamming anyone in. Of course the only way to know will be to test drive but I think you'll be fine.
  3. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

So I left the Jeep on their lot for 2 hours before they actually did the service. So I'm not sure what kind of driving they did with it beforehand but I had driven it 30 miles on the freeway to them so not very much shifting involved. All they said was that it was very hot but didn't have a...
  4. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

So my Jeep went in for it's first Jeep Wave service today and the transmission did come up obviously. I talked to the tech seemed like she was very aware of the recall and what parts were affected. She told me that the tranny bell housing was very hot when they pulled it in so I asked her what...
  5. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

I'm having a hard time believing it just lets go unpromptedly. Maybe it does. But it says in the recall notice you can get a smoking clutch or weird pedal play. Until that happens to mine I'm going to keep driving it. I don't expect it to suddenly explode on me. And if it does it's going to be...
  6. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

Are they making you make payments on it while you wait? That would be complete BS.
  7. Clutch Recall (FCA W12 | 20V-124) For Gladiator Manual Transmiss [overheating clutch pressure plate]

I'll be curious as to what the fix is for this. I also want to know what extenuating circumstances there were to it. I saw the JL guy saying he only had 96 miles on his JL when the thing exploded. What did he do in 96 miles that made it fail? Bad batch of pressure plates? Why is it suddenly an...
  8. Bestop - BIG. SPRING. REBATES

Any deals on your 2 piece soft doors? I am wanting a set of those for the summer.
  9. Groundhog Badge Order Thread

It's just plain old Alaskan. If you're ever in the Last Frontier I'll definitely get you some of my favorite blueberry beer.
  10. Jeep Gladiator Mojave Edition! [Updated With Live Pics and Chassis/Suspension Breakdown]

Congrats man. I might have to order that hood eventually. That thing is sweet and really the only part I'd pay to have over the Rubi. When I finally see one I know I'll be a little jealous.
  11. QuietKat

Oh wow. I'd buy one at 4k but not 6k. You can get a used 2 year old Sportster for 6k. Or a new last year's leftover Honda CBX500 for that. I don't know how these bicycle mfgs are justifying the cost of these E bikes when actual motorcycles that have real frames, suspensions, brakes...

An R-Pod is what we are going to get. Our JTR is a manual so we can only pull 4500lbs. That limits us to basically R-Pods which is fine with me I want a smaller trailer but the wife refuses to go overnight and not being able to shower so it fits the bill. I haven't camped in one only larger...
  13. Alaska

You got me jealous I love little tear drops. I don't have a trailer yet that's going to be a '22 or '23 purchase. But Kennicott is the one place I'd really recommend but it is a rough long slow dirt road. The Kenai Peninsula is called Alaska's playground for good reason. You can pull a trailer a...
  14. Alaska

What kind of trailer are you pulling? If it's with the JT I've got to imagine something around the the size of an R-Pod. If it can handle some dirt road that'll open your camping opportunities a little more. I know traveling with a long gun is easier over the borders, look into that. I'd not...
  15. Alaska

It used to not be that way. You used to be able to bring as much surplus powder as you wanted over the border. It's too bad. The good thing is we have Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse. They have the national pricing on primers and powder although reloading in general seems less and less supported.
  16. Alaska

If you're driving you'll be very limited in what you can bring with you. I don't think you can even bring the higher strength capsicum sprays over the border. You can always buy it when you get in state though. There's a 3 Bears in Tok that is close to the border by our standards that will have...

Oh right on I'm an MEA customer of course living out there. I was very surprised we had power all last night. MEA does a great job I was very impressed after the earthquake to have power back the same day. Was that your truck going to ER yesterday afternoon around 2:15? There's so few of us it's...
  18. More modding than enjoying?

Jeep's are like Harley's. You have to build them to fit what you want out of it. And also like Harley's there is an aftermarket piece for every single thing you want to change. There are no other cars built that have the aftermarket support of Jeeps. But I am finished with that rat race. My...
  19. First Jeep - a few questions

With just you, one passenger, a dog, and not a lot of gear you'll be fine with 5300lbs towing. About 530lbs on the tongue leaves you with a thousand pounds of payload for hauling yourselves and gear. It might not be the best thing for a trailer that heavy but you are well within spec. The...
