I’m starting to look at replacement driveshafts on eBay. Is there a way to tell if the driveshaft falls under the recall (no grease in the monoblock) or if it’s been addressed? Doesn’t appear that part numbers changed when the recall was done.
Long story short, an idiot borrowed my car and did some considerable damage, mainly cosmetic, to the underside of my JTR. I don’t want to get into it.
I started to noticed a vibration at 50-60mph and after an additional inspection crawling under the Jeep, I noticed the driveshaft carrier and...
It’s not death wobble. I and a couple others have had this exact issue. Same way it comes on, bumps in road at around 50-60mph... slow down to around 10-15mph to make it go away.
Different fixes for each person. Some have had transfer case replaced, others have had axle shafts, seals or entire...
I will say I would love it if they built this 2-door super compact cutie below. Again, just some person’s rendering.
They could move the rear axle ~4-6 inches forward or add an “access” cab for a bench rear seat and it would be perfect.

I agree. I am madly in love with the 2-door Bronco. 4-door is just OK, prefer the JLU. However, that rendering of the Bronco crew cab is no bueno. JT is significantly prettier, and that’s saying a lot as JT proportions can becomes a bit funny from certain angles...

LOL I did the same thing. I keep the extra fob in my glove compartment for emergencies. Doors locked with the main fob no problem, but then I realized three months in that anyone could come in and start the car if my doors were left unlocked or if they simply broke a window.
Wrapped the fob in...
My full-size iKamper RTT overhangs the cab by a good foot or so, which means the full hard top is never coming off :crying:
As a front passenger or driver, with the Freedom Panels removed and all four doors off, am I really missing anything? Facing forward and being a reasonably responsible...
There’s some talk about it in the JL forum as the Euro-spec Rubi has had the option since the beginning and the US-spec just got it for 2021 as well. However, I haven’t found anything conclusive yet.
I’m secretly hoping it’s NOT the NV242 so I don’t have to feel any buyer’s remorse with my 2020...
