  1. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

But thats less fun ab keep in mind that’s measured on a 5800 pound vehicle.
  2. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

skids are key. Someone make full aluminum skids for the diesel already damnit !
  3. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

Makes sense. You’ll probably be upset with the look of the BFG but honestly it’s not that bad. The driving manners of it are EXCELLENT. I just re measured using double yard stick method and really took my time — they came out to 35.9. The stock 33’s on the two door came out to 32.4. I would...
  4. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

As I said — I may have not done the best job measuring lol and the tire psi is low so it’s got a fair bit of bulge on the pavement. I’ll try to take some pictures. just curious though — what’s your use case? It’s tough with the added length of the gladiator so I totally understand wanting the...
  5. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

Mine have about 2000 ish miles on them and show 35.3. But my 37” Nitto’s that came off were about a half inch taller. I also just measured my stock 33” falcons and they came out to 31.8. Surprisingly the KO2’s on my wife’s 2 door are about the same. All of these tires have under 3k miles. for...
  6. Peterson Jeep in Idaho

Customer service was slow. They don’t negotiate pricing because it’s already at the bottom. They give the same deal to everyone to my knowledge. Wonder if it’s just a Kent thing then.
  7. 40" tires... Talk me out of it

Heavy 40’s can still break things even with a 60. Significantly less likely of course but not like it’s bullet proof. I’d avoid 40’s if you don’t have budget to spend $20k for new axles and other components. You’re easily $20k when you factor in a set of Currie axles with the Alcon brakes. Oh...
  8. Slide-in camper options?

Looks nice. I don't think Gladiator's have the payload capacity though for this type of stuff. Not sure what type of insurance risk there is with that scenario (if much of any). Seems like these options make more sense for a full size vehicle.
  9. Peterson Jeep in Idaho

Kent is awesome -- ordered my 2 DR JL from him -- great stand up guy with great prices. Just PLEASE ensure you guys are keeping the loan for 6 months so these deals don't disappear. Don't ruin it for the next guy =) As others have said, just call and leave VM. You may have to try a few times...
  10. Did you replace the front drive shaft?

Replacing both of mine with something serviceable. Would have done that even if I wasn't lifting. For now running RK springs (3.0's) on Currie arms with Fox 3.0's. AEV Borah beadlocks on 37 KO2's. Probably will go up to 4 1/2" springs though. Need to add slider to the tow hitch.
  11. Arizona ($2600 shipped) King 2.5 Performance Series shocks (3-5" Height) with ADJUSTERS! NEW IN BOX.

Will shoot some pictures -- fronts are sold, just have rears now. Still have all four shocks.
  12. Is it dumb to wait on MY 2023?

I could see there being a refresh but I doubt it'll be a huge one like the JK. Probably minor changes like the TJ. The JK was very outdated even for the first day it came out, and was prior to FCA understanding customers wanting more luxury/tech.
  13. Another Rock Chip in the Windshield! ARRRG

I've fared better, but here in AZ my wife's BMW went through a windshield on average every 3 months through the entire lease period. My JLUR I had for 2 years and I replaced 3 windshields.
  14. Mopar Diesel Lift Questions

You can get it done for less, but if it includes alignment and re-programming for tire size, it's not the worst quote I've seen accounting for a half day for the lift.
  15. What do YOU do to make your Gladiator last forever.

I think the key there is you can always pay it off. In that case, I fully agree. I think many people take part of that equation and not the other.
  16. 2021 Rubicon EcoDiesel Lemon Law Buyback - What should I do?

I’d still buy another— I’ve had enough good experiences with the vehicles that I’d take my chances again even with one bad experience. It stinks to go thru one tho so I understand the cold feet. As others have suggested if you do proceed — get the best possible deal/warranty out of them.
  17. 3.73 gearing with 37s

    Hmm, existing KO2 is a D in a 37. But yeah, on a 35 it's an E -- unless you get 315's, which are C rated.
