Yep that makes sense. Gladiator isnāt very dampened especially with the diesel. Iāve got Fox 3.0 bypass shocks and air bumps now and can go fast as I want through most trails. But boy weāre they expensive lol.
It's just more stressful to be honest -- but we've run everything in Moab outside of Pritchett which we'll be running this upcoming EJS. I prefer my 4 door though, and my stretched JK even more. For trails anyway. Now for easy stuff where you can just haul/camping/etc, Gladiator all the way. But...
You donāt have to run with the Safari groups either ā youāll just be limited to trails that they didnāt get closed that day ( which a lot are closed ; but not all ). Just a FYI.
Goes everywhere my Wrangler on 40ās goes. Just gotta lift it a bit more and understand the bed will scrape. Lines are a bit different, too. Love my truck.
For me the one attraction to some of the mid size options was the length was shorter by 6ā and wheel base was slightly less. Wouldnāt trade the gladiator for one ( unless my circumstances changed ) but the length would make it easier to park in garages.
I want a full size but I donāt think I...
Will do! Going to do a big trip in March before Moab (EJS) likely. Not looking forward to the initial I-10 mania drive where it's basically 4 turns from Phoenix to Sarasota because you're on I-10 for 2000 miles.
Yeah diesel fuel has been pricey lately, unfortunately. Similar to you though, I bought it for the torque (and range, to be honest -- not the cost).
I've only got 17k on mine, you've got 3x on me! Doing a few trips from AZ to FL this year so that help me catch up ha.
Just going to list averages.
3.73's.
37" BFG KO2
stock wheels.
4 1/2" of lift.
OEM steel bumper group w/ Winch and front bumper end caps removed.
City = 19.
Highway = 23.
LOVE my ecodiesel. It doesn't care too much about tire weight. Even in Moab running 40's I'm still like 19-20 mpg highway...
Hell yeah!!!
Too funny, as I'm browsing this thread we're getting ready to set up our FL place near in Sarasota (we're back and forth between PHX and there). The distillery is one of the first places on our list haha.
Agreed with the other poster. AEV's kit is pretty complete. You shouldn't have any impact with warranty unless as I said, there's something else going on (lots of weight, etc) or it's a clear sign of abuse.
Iād try another dealership but your warranty will likely not apply with 37ās on the truck. Itās probably a different story with 35ās that are similar to whatās offered on the XR package but even then itās discretion of dealership and then up to you to fight it ā sadly.
Was it a spacer? Or a spacer kit that also included shock extensions/bumps that matched? If the former, I'd imagine that's a pretty easy no-cover from the dealership. I mean I could also see a dealer denying if you added a crap ton of weight and it was over GVWR, etc., as well.
This. Awful. Almost got into several accidents due to that stupid thing. My 392 seems quite a bit better than my ā19 was when I first tested it so perhaps itās improving. I do like the ACC functionality for longer trips though.
Unsure. I have 8 claims that show up in the past 3-5 years but they're literally all glass claims from AZ. Once I realized (even though Geico promised me it would not impact my rates) it DOES impact my rates, I started paying for windshields out of pocket. By the way, you do NOT need to...
