Actually since offset is based off the centerline of the wheel, it is the same for all wheel widths. Yes the backspace will be different. The real issue is the distance from the tire to the suspension components. My wheels are 9” wide, +18 mm offset, with a 13.5” wide tire. Go to tiresize.com...

Car manufactures have been using space saver spare tires for years. The diff will function normally. Where did you get that idea from?
If you want to do just do pads, try the the ECB Orangestuff pads. You will notice a big difference. The Baer 6 piston Brake kit would be amazing, providing you have 18” wheels.
They are an M/T tire so they are louder than the Toyo at3’s I ran on my last truck, but not annoying at all. I have about 15,000 on them so far and I love em. They balance well too?
Baer Brakes has a template you can get to see if they will work. They have a set for the rear that fit 17” wheel but the front they recommend 18”. Hence the template. They also usually have a sale once a year around black friday.
A + 24mm offset, using a 12.5” wide tire, is as tuck in the fender as you can get. I have Motiv Glock wheels with +18 mm offset and
37/13.5/18 tires, no lift.
Get a wheel with the correct offset. How wide of a tire do you want to run? Your stock offset is most likely a +44 mm, unless its a Mojave which is a +37mm. If you do the math and want to maintain the inside clearance to the suspension, any where between a +12 and +24 is best with a 12.5” wide...
