I was told I would be getting a new filter with my recall but I donāt think I did. Either way, I drove it another 15k miles with whatever filter was in there.
Money is a serious factor when buying Jeeps, I promise you that. Personally, I wouldnāt spend any extra on any āeditionā unless it was a Rubicon. Either sport model or Rubicon would be the only thing Iād lease.
Yep, same. Didnāt get a damn thing. Been spending too much time on my sports card collection, no time for Jeep stuff. Hoping to sell off my collection by July and buy a new pontoon for the family. Once thatās done, back to buying Jeep stuff šš»
The tires in these pictures were Ironman All Country MT tires, 37x12.50r17 and no rubbing on 17x8.5 -6 offset wheels. I never wheeled it more than just dirt roads and fire trails but I knew Iād be lifting shortly after leveling so I went cheap. Iām on Toyo RT Trail tires now and theyāve been...
Personally I wouldnāt go more than 2.5-3ā on 35s, and even that is stretching it. Then again, I also wouldnāt run 35s on a gladiator when 37s are available š
Leveled and 37s
4.5ā front, 3ā rear and 37s
I donāt think a 35ā tire would look good at all on a lift this tall.
I have Rustyās 4ā diesel springs up front on my JTOD. I loved them to death up until about a month ago when I noticed significant sagging from them. They have been nothing but impossible to get ahold of, havenāt returned emails, and I donāt want to replace springs every 18 months. Thatās all I...
When I typed in all the options I wanted when new, there were only 22 in the country available. I canāt imagine there would be anywhere near that in availability today. Good luck with your search. If youāve found one or two that are close to what you had, I wouldnāt wait around on them too long.
Looks pretty close to me š Some people donāt understand that Patagonias are meant to ride on the crown of the tire for better fuel economy. I can show you a pic of my wifeās aired down to 16 psi that still look round on top. These are at 34psi on stock Willys wheels.
Here I was thinking my springs were bowed out pretty bad, that guy definitely has me beat. I wonder if itās a diesel too, I havenāt found springs that can hold the weight for over 50k miles yet.
I also dont see anything wrong with the tires š¤·āāļø
4.5ā lift and 37s I see 22-22.5 quite consistently with 23 on longer drives on the tank. When I was bone stock Iād see 28-29 consistently with 30 on longer drives on the tank. I was able to go over 500 miles per tank on multiple runs with the stock setup.
Iād look into a 1 1/2-2ā drop. Personally, I just ran that same trailer 500 miles on a non drop hitch with 4.5ā lift and 37s 2 weeks ago. It looked stupid and I drug a$$ out of the U-Haul driveway but it got the job done.
Iām with @Splenda here, I run my RT Trail 37s at 39 psi. Fully warmed up theyāre up to 44 psi. Iām over 25k miles in and right around 70% tread remaining. These will easily get to the 55k rated range and when they wear out Iāll be buying them again.
And no, they donāt hydroplane any more than...
I have the MC one. I just beat the hell out of the bracket to get it in there. Then later on I found out about having to grind some crap. As much as I like the MC stuff, Iām tired of having to modify my Jeep to accommodate their parts. Everything requires drilling new holes, cutting stuff, etc...
