Watching this thread...I have also purchased a bunch of stuff for my Gladiator...most I like, but I come across other builds that I also like...I went with an Ace Engineering "Upper Decker" which I like so far, but with my RTT on it, it is too heavy for the shocks and I can't lift it to get to...
I am not, but for the $40-$50 they cost on Amazon, you really can't go wrong buying one. I wish I had bought mine for my last build, and it will come in handy for me I know in the future.
My tool worked great...wish I had it 5 years ago when I put Metal Cloak fenders on my JK!! The whole "stroke" calculation is a bit hard to figure out. I don't know if I was setting my took right, but I just left the setting pretty much centered for the first crimp and then like the video says...
Yeah, I plan to cut some 2x4 and 2x6 to fit in the slots to help with that, otherwise, just a pullout tray would be ideal...I do think there is another competitor to Decked that has one...Truckbrigade.com has some cool Overland products for the Gladiator and the other company (I can't actually...
Are you happy with the Decked system? It was my original plan with just different rack system (FabFours or Leitner) but now that I went with the Upper Decker and their crossbars, not sure I need the drawers. I have some larger size Pelican cases that I think are going to serve the same purpose.
I agree with the guys from Ace...when I first unpackaged it, I noticed the flex and it does flex when lifting it, but when it is sitting on the bed rails, it is very solid, no flex or noticeable bounce anywhere on the deck.
with the tent. I can attest, the shocks will not hold the deck up with the tent.
I just used the four holes predrilled into the tent mounts (elongated to fit) and 4 of the sliders/bolts that came with the tent. Going to trim the aluminum T-channel still and get shorter bolts. I added the...
Upper Decker install review and tips from my experience. First, the guys at Ace were very quick to respond to emails during the shipping process and the upper decker with tent mounts looks really cool installed. Overall I’m happy with the product and I like it more compared to the other racks...
I'm looking for something that utilizes the stock bolt hole on the grab bar above the glove box...I know not the same as what you put together, but wondering if you came across anything that you think would fit or if anyone else that comes across this thread has. I can't believe it doesn't...
Actually yes, if not just throttle response. I had a Bullydog tuner on my JK and didn't notice anything, the Pulsar definitely has improvements. You can feel it going from Economy to Tow to Performance.
Still like it. I have over 3000 miles on it now (I drive quite a bit). I did not take it off for my first oil change and tire rotation, but will remove it if there are any recalls that could involve and engine flash of obviously if I have any engine issues. I bought an extended warranty...
Nope, I heard a lot of people talking about this especially after the settlement and ECU flash was announced, but I never had any EGR issues, at least not diagnosed haha, but honestly my truck ran great before the computer was flashed...I already had my Gladiator ordered, so the settlement went...
