I have JCRs full height rack and a ikamper mini clone RTT imported directly from China and (not installed yet) Gobi's Stealth rack. Sounds like it could be what you are looking for. Also, the company that made my bumper (first dual swing out on a Gladiator that I know of before any other...
Thanks for the added information, definitely is more appealing knowing there are options. I'm running a full bed rack now and a custom made hi clearance rear bumper with dual swingout tire carrier and jerry can holder but love the idea of the a flatbed (not the price necessarily haha)...
Oh and I would really like a slide out drawer in addition to the side tool boxes...your design is very utilitarian, but not really built for overlanding in my opinion.
Definitely interested to see it with canopy options, but not sure I like adding 12" in length to the factory bed and I would like to see spare tire mounts so that you can remove the spare from under the bed.
I pulled the trigger on the soft doors for the same reason of stowability. Going on a two month cross country and want to be able to remove the doors. The Core doors are still bulky and way too big to remove and stow in the bed with camping gear. I have seen bad reviews and good reviews on...
I second this, bought the sun bonnet, took my top off one time and hated the flap...it would be ok with two straps centered in the rear that can strap down TIGHT to the bed, but as is, was not worth the money and I have no intentions of using it again...of course I am also about to install my...
I will try to post pictures tonight, they are all on my phone. They can be ordered bare metal or powder coated. I had a set on my JKR and I got them linex'd, this set I decided to just primer and coat with Rustoleum under coating. So far it is holding up pretty well and is easy to touch up...
Just for perspective...I met these guys at Bantam in 2019 and they had a Gladiator there with fenders...all their JT stuff was prototype, but almost 2 years later and they still don't have fenders???...There are a lot of manufacturers that have set the pace and quality standards. They are way...
From the pictures on other vehicles, looks like their canopies are taller than roof height, that is one thing I don't know if I would like, but I love the idea of a flat bed with integrated tool boxes and the trundle drawer. I got a quote from PCOR a while ago and it was way out of my price...
Relax, it was mostly in jest and most Rubi owners are just partial to them...most will never need their capability, but some do and regret it and spend a lot of money to try to replicate the lockers and disconnects. But thanks for calling me out in my post, your opinion and moderating is...
Gear America on Amazon seems to priced in the middle of the market for recovery gear but looks well made and heavy duty. Looking at their Aluminum SB and a soft shackle...
I have a 7" in my Rubi and it's all I need, but I do believe there are some options in the 8.4 that give more vehicle info and control. Navigation with carplay is nice because it is always updated. Built-in navigation will always be out of date even with updates that you pay for. I have...
Agreed! the only time I have ever "smoked" a clutch in my JT or my JK was in reverse trying get a trailer backed up an incline or parked in soft ground avoiding a tree nearby. I was moving a large equipment hauler (empty about 1,600 lbs) with a pintle hitch (really hard to get them to swing)...
For reference, I put 140,000 miles on my RAM eco and never went into limp mode because of regen. One time I picked it up from the dealership and had to go right to the highway because it went into the regen "zone" during their troubleshooting, but otherwise I guess I always had more than enough...
