I never said that Ford was “doing it right.” However, their current implementation of ACC is the way that makes sense to me, and is currently the way that I prefer.
I am a reasonable person. Give me a scenario where FCA’s ACC implementation is better than Ford’s. Change my mind.
@ShadowsPapa, I get it. I used to program. Admittedly, not for money, but I have a CS background. The rationale probably isn’t dumb, but the rationale may now be irrelevant since implementation - especially now that other manufacturers have been programming ACC to hold the brakes indefinitely...
…Or a Ford. My F-150 that I traded in for my JT did it. So, it’s not like I’m asking for something unreasonable. It’s just dumb FCA programming.
The Adaptive cruise control (ACC) will only hold for about 5 seconds when it brings the truck to a full stop behind traffic.
Is there a setting in one of the JScan, TAZER, etc modules to remove this 5-second hold so it holds indefinitely - or at least until you press resume or the accelerator...
Completely agree - with both “cain’t” (Texan too) and the RSE steps. I just got their first coat of mud on them this past weekend. They kept the doors and bedside fairly well protected from rocks, they’re nice platforms to stand on when cleaning the top of the roof, and they make getting into...
Yeah, I am interested in doing this with my KC driving lights… if you guys have recommendations on how to set it up, that would be great! I currently activate them with one of the six switches.
or perhaps - if you have the GoPro, connect the balsa dowel only at one end and a piece of tape where it would be connected at the other end (kinda like a speedometer needle and gauge) to watch the deflection with the GoPro.
Warning: FLAME-ON:
Apparently, some of us have been angry with Jeep Cares folks because you “took care” of the diesel suspension issues on your own, and now expect Stellantis to pay you back?!?
What the deuce?!? If this is you, it’s your fault you didn’t engage your dealer and Jeep Cares...
I just got my JTRD back Thursday (three days ago) after the install. The truck handles way better than pre-install… less wandering, a firmer response to road surfaces, etc. I did hit one rather significant bump at about 50-ish mph and bottomed out the front right suspension. Other bumps have...
I took my truck in with less than 300 miles with this complaint. My point is that I noticed it immediately. We finally got around to it six-ish months and 7000+ miles later.
Maybe. If you have a stock vehicle - no non-stock bumpers, steps, winch, or anything else that adds weight, then maybe. You’ll still have to go through the wickets with the dealer, and then talk to Lisa like I mentioned above.
CerOf,
No, I don’t think they will. My understanding is that they will only deal with stock vehicles. They don’t even want to deal with OrangeCJ because he put a winch on his gladiator.
But, you might be a contender if you revert your vehicle to stock then show the dealer that the...
