Looking for white paint matched hardtop. Premium twill soft top available for trade+cash if you want. Located in Michigan and I don’t mind driving within 500 miles radius.
  2. Welding exhaust under the truck

So I have this stupid plan to add electric cutout to the exhaust. I know it's a V6 and a lot of you hate the idea of loud exhaust from V6 but I just want to add a little more fun. At least I can keep it closed when I need to be quiet... So I am going to ask my local muffler shop to cut a hole...
  3. 2021 3.6 MT Detonation

I feel a lot better If this is normal and nothing to worry about. I am curious if engine break-in does anything to do with this because it was pretty bad last year. After 15k miles on odometer, It's not that bad this summer and I am getting better MPG!
  4. 2021 3.6 MT Detonation

I have the same issue on my 3.6 AT. It was really bad last year summer. I think temperature is a major factor as I did not hear the noise below 40' at all. Some of you mentioned costco gas. I went costco a lot last year, not so much in this year. I only go to major brands - Mobil, BP, Shell...
  5. When auto-stop-start becomes more intermittent....

Mine stopped working. Purchased in Jan 2021. 13k on the odometer. I drive it to work twice a week - 50 miles round trip. I had 2 other vehicles before the Gladiator that had auto stop/start function and never had an issue that the function stops working.
  6. Rattle from engine when accelerating (sounds like keys)

Well that's disappointing. Mine is automatic and I am curious what the dealership will say. Always put in manual mode and shift at a higher RPM? lol I don't agree running higher octane fuel should be an answer. It may reduce/eliminate the noise but who knows if the problem is still there and...
  7. Interesting fleet of JT test mules in Colorado mountains 6-28-21 PIX ATTACHED

If Jeep is putting new engine on gladiators, I can only assume wranglers will get first.
  8. Michigan WTB: Bestop Twill Soft Doors

Hi, Looking for a set of Bestop Twill Soft Doors. Willing to travel ~200 miles or pay shipping.
  9. Mods you regret

I'm running 37x12.50 tires. If I buy tires again, I would go with 37x13.50. 12.50 looks a bit skinny for 37s.
  10. What wheels are you putting on you JT?

Kansei KNP Offroad wheels 17x8.5 -10mm
  11. Nobody waves anymore.

I will wave when I see shorty antenna ;)
  12. Nobody waves anymore.

Didn't mean to offend the stock owners lol Just making some general statement based on my observation... I waved at every Jeep and 90% of stock owners didn't wave back to me.
  13. Nobody waves anymore.

I get a lot of waves in Michigan. If it's a completely stock Wrangler/Gladiator, I don't wave unless they do first. Most likely they don't know/care Jeep culture.
  14. TPMS for JK dont work with JT???

Been busy with work and finally I had a chance yesterday to follow your instruction... unfortunately it didn't work.. One of the sensors (front driver side) started working before I tried the reset procedure but the rest of 3 sensors are not responding. Discount tire had a scanner tool but it...
  15. Rewinding spare tire winch - how much tightened?

Thanks I will check the torque again, I stopped tightening when I felt resistance but didn't hear click.
  16. 37” spare tire - list of tires that fit under the bed

So I just fit Patagonia 37x12.50r17. 17x8.5 wheel. I aired it down to 10 psi. With that, the tire has 1/4" gap to the track bar. Is this OK? I don't know the suspension mechanism and how track bar moves.
  17. Rewinding spare tire winch - how much tightened?

When you put the spare tire back, how much do you need to tighten the winch? The manual says " Continue to rotate until you feel the winch mechanism slip, or click three or four times. It cannot be overtightened." Does this mean I should tighten it as much as possible(by hand)? There's a coil...
  18. JT owners post your MPG

Less than 200 miles so not really much I can share.. if I made purchase again I would go with 13.50 width. What drives max tow getting better mileage? Is it lighter than Rubicon?
  19. JT owners post your MPG

I had a 2 hour round trip today, 95% highway, and got an interesting result. My setup is JTR, stock 4.10 gears, 37" Pats, no lift. I am getting 16.5 MPG with 100lb weight in the truck bed. I was getting 14ish on highway the other day when there were 2 other passengers. I was hardly seeing 8th...
