If they were to offer the 5.7 HEMI in a gladiator at a reasonable upgrade price, I'd eat the costs of getting out of my lease today to order it. I won't lie - I'm a mall-crawler - but my daily work commute on the highway can be... interesting... to say the least. I'm not complaining about...
I run 93 however I did have my engine tuned for higher octane fuel (I run it on a 91 tune). For the first couple months I only used 87 from my Costco (best fuel prices in my area)
I like my set - however I've discovered that there's some rust going on that I'll have to address, and that's with under 8 months of ownership. That said I've enjoyed the extra protection from rocks and other stuff being slung from the tires. Haven't been offroad, but I'll agree that they...
I’m starting my claims process today. Will see what happens. Dealership recommended a body shop and that shop when I visited had some very upscale customers there so that makes me a bit more comfortable.
I’m sad in that I won’t know what it is there is damage or stress to the drivetrain...
I work at thePlain City Costco and usually goto Crown for dealer stuff and Performance is my other go-to. Thank you for the body shop recommendation as it was something I’m not sure about. This is my first new vehicle and first accident.
I'm so ticked off.... I was going to work on the highway (3 lane area - In middle lane) going just under 70mph - and at 230am to boot - and out of nowhere a vehicle rear ends me.... Found out it's stolen and the operator was no where to be found when law enforcement showed up on scene. I've...
I don’t tow however it would definitely enhance ones ability to tow. The power of the engine is so much smoother especially in the rpm range towing would have you in. Not positive about the transmission tune but I’m sure it would be fine as well with towing. If you were worried about that part...
Mmmm... My Sting Gray which I love, or a Light or Basalt gray.... If I ever scratch the daylights outta my truck I have to keep this in mind.
Awesome work on that truck! Looks amazing!
I keep it on a shelf at home. It literally programs the ecm. It’s not a piggyback unit. I also don’t swap tunes. I keep mine in the 91 as it’s smooth as silk to drive.
I purchased the ECU as part of my transaction with Livernois. They need to unlock it and program it to my VIN. If you check out the Wrangler forums there are a couple threads with more information on it and several folks experiences with it.
I have their tuner & tune (87, 91, 93 - and I can get a full Flex Fuel if I wanted, but since my base tunes are FFV enabled that's enough for me. I don't run E85 daily). Their service was awesome and even though there were a couple issues with my install they paid the shipping both ways...
I'm interested and excited that it's in consideration! It's not financially feasible right now (got hit with a $1500 pest control bill in our apartment) but I'll be keeping my eyes open and will DM if I get a financial windfall!
Just a quick if not dumb question: Have you considered making a 1.5” ride right kit for those of us who want upgraded components, the ability to run 33”-34” tires, and don’t want to do a spacer lift? I have a sport max tow but don’t need the 3 inches of lift that the 2.5” kit would provide. I...
Loving the photos everyone. When I do eventually upgrade I'm thinking i'll be going 33"-34" (either Falken ATW3 or Toyo AT3) and either a 1.5" / .75 level or the Clayton 2.5" RideRight depending on fit. I won't be offroading so I don't need to go huge - but I do want to make sure everything...
I'm wondering if anyone here has installed the SteerSmarts suite of products (drag links, tie rod, steering stabilizer - I know the track bars aren't required) on an unlifted Jeep and if it 100% fit. I've heard that it's a tight fit and I'm not planning on lifting as I'm not an offroader but I...
The bed. I was debating between a Silverado and the Jeep - I decided I wanted the convertible and the smaller footprint. I don't haul often but it's very nice when I do. Can't wait for my first full spring/summer to have the top off.
I have wanted a truck as well as a convertible and the Gladiator was the all in one choice. Now I have a convertible that can do the occasional bit of hauling things in a topless vehicle from Costco without being “that idiot”.
