Yeah, I didn't intend to imply using a single brand would solve the all the issues or entirely prevent them. My thoughts are that it would eliminate one of the many variables and reduce the chances of issues. There are so many posts about X brand tie rod, with Y brand track bar, and Z brand...
Well said. I've been reading a lot of the threads on death wobble and it is impossible to tell "XXXX" brand or "YYYYY" specific component model is better or worse than another based solely on user experience. What we need but won't get is durability testing in a lab environment where components...
My knowledge of truck classifications is limited to small/medium/Full-size(1500/2500/3500). I'm curious about your equation 6250# - vehicle weight = payload. Where does that come from? I'm assuming it is part of the class 1, class 2 you referenced later. I'd like to learn more about these...
I emailed TeraFlex and got the following response, you were more than spot on… “Hey Kris, Wheelpros purchased us last year and they now take care of the wheel manufacturing, so unfortunatly we aren't able to get a set unpainted. I keep mentioning a set of clear or machined finished in our...
Thanks! Timing is off. I was there this summer for two weeks, oh well. Blue and bronze looks good but I can’t help but think of a WRX STi every time I see it. The red of the rubicon with the blue and the black seems like a lot of colors going on. Like you said it’s too bad we’re states away...
Crazy how much the lighting of the wheel in the box makes it look silver. Hmm… wonder if they could be stripped and clear coated to be just machine finished. I’ll have to talk to Teraflex and see what they say. They look awesome, I’m just not thrilled about black or bronze.
As another point of reference, I've been using the Car2Play adaptor for about 16 months and I've been very happy with it. It was highly recommended on here. Much simpler than plugging in the phone. I have a magnetic charging mount I use if using long term navigation or something like that...
Interesting. A single line of motion control as opposed to two parallel lines with slightly differing length changes (shock being more outboard than the coil), is that the general idea? So it results in greater articulation. Is there some aspect that also gives it an advantage for daily driving...
I’m seeing more and more coilover kits coming out, like the Teraflex kit, and others. I understand that coilovers are easy to adjust (not on the fly, but to dial-in), but otherwise, what is the advantage?
Other than them being the top-of-the-line option, aka a cool factor.
Please enlighten me!
Even considering it's an upfit package, it seems like they are devaluing the Rubicon & Mojave. There should be a XR package with the Mopar lift and 37s for both Rubicon and Mojave, then the Willy's with 35s would make sense... but "should" and "make sense" aren't things Jeep or many other...
I didn't think a 392 was more than a 5% chance of being a reality (despite how much I'd love it), but I'm really surprised and disappointed to see they didn't release a 4XE. That whole show was just marketing fluff, what a waste of time for all of us.
