I figured there are a lot of smart people here who could provide input. Given what we know about the Glad roof and the current softtop - could a manufacturer make a softtop that fully retracts onto the bed? or is this just wishful thinking????

This is a great questions.... The first Glady I was going to buy had the 5” with XM. I thought I would be fine (mount my phone and use it for Nav) I then found another one with 7” screen and apple car play First - the 7” screen is small - I can’t imagine what the 5” looks like. I use car play...

The Glad I bought, in October had a state inspection (done at the dealer at delivery) in July. Sat on the lot for 3-4 months.

I could see how the digital data would have trouble getting transferred via the magnet, but the charging doesn’t. Ive tried the other Chinese made cables, they work fine. I would think the official JEEP specs would say go OEM.

One “criticism” I’ve read has been how the Glad isn’t great for tall drivers. Are the dimensions that far off from a wrangler? Any owners taller than 6’ disagree? Sorry for the typo in the title

First time owner, do you recommend any maintenance to the soft top or tonoeu cover? Put a coat of some product on every couple months? Clean with a special product?

I’ve seen the motor driven setups to store the hard top hanging from the garage ceiling ..... I have to believe there are simpler, manual setups..... I’m thinking using the rubber coated bike hooks, some rope and pillows to get the top up and then using web straps to secure it. am I over...
