EXACT.SAME. Mine was during a 4hr trip home at 61,500mi on the nose. Even though I was just out of the 60K mile portion of the warranty, I was 6 months past the 60mo piece so I was more screwed on time than mileage to fight anything.
Sold my Gladiator and have this MULE Expedition Outfitters backup camera relocation bracket and 10ft extension harness. This allows you to relocate the OEM backup camera anywhere you'd like.

To answer your original question, YES, spending $3K on a Powerbrake X-Line Big Brake kit is 100% worth the entry fee. I did a full write-up below and there are other Powerbrake threads too.

Loved my DynaTracs! I would recommend them over the non-rebuildables. I had them before the Baller Joints came to market but boy o' boy those are nice if they prove to have a good track record in the future.
The injectors create a substantial (IMO) ticking noise and it will be completely different than the "clacking" of lifter failure and camshaft destruction.
Ticking at idle (standing OUTSIDE at the engine bay) is "normal" during/after warm-up.
Loud ticking (clacking) under acceleration from...
Sold the JTR and kept the Diode Dynamic SS3 Pro's. This is the entire plug and play kit with brackets for a non-Sport plastic bumper. Comes with the pigtails that plug right into the OEM fogs for seamless function of the OEM push button fog switch. These lights are phenomenal and darn near out...
8 degrees is too much. I'll make you a great deal on my Synergy uppers if you just want to buy them and do it correctly. = https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/synergy-manufacturing-front-adjustable-control-arms-upper-lower.95457/
Well I personally wouldn't go so far to say that track bar relocation brackets are "not good" for a smaller lift, you simply need at least 3in of bump stop up front to keep the track bar and tie rod out of the frame and other components... ask me how I know. The track bar relocation bracket...
If you have adjustable front uppers just extend them to correct caster with your extended Mopar lowers (if I recall they are only 1/8" longer than OEM Mopar). If you don't have adjustable front uppers, then I know a guy with perfectly good Synergy Mfg uppers to sell you (hint, it's me).
The AEV...
In full transparency I did not read the prior 6 pages, but if there is any question around the effectiveness of drop brackets on ride quality I will whole heartedly stand behind the improved front end bump compliance after "pick your brand" drop brackets. I decided to try out JKS drop brackets...
I heard reman'd engines cost $31,994.00 and the new AMW 425 installed costs $31,995.00... so for $1 more you could go this route :) I recently sold my JTR so I'm now here to help members spend their money in the way that I wanted to. ha.
In all seriousness, I hope you get your Jeep fixed in a...
