Exactly... so many content creators that can swap between JTs/JL 392s and say how great and terrible each are that a potential purchaser never has the true story. And to preface, I am not a youtube content creator, I just support my local shop that builds my rigs :) Rig stays the same but the...
You nailed all of it! I'm in my mid-40's and all of the couples we explore with have full size trucks and it's more about the "comfortable adventure" now rather than the remote exploration that my heavily modded JTR was originally built around 5 years ago. Life stages change for us and I'm super...
I think they are great too. I'll stick around while I try to sell parts and I always seem to get questions about my how-to or build posts so I'm happy to continue supporting the community. I've never been one to "troll" threads but I might have to give it a shot now :) Seriously though, I've...
Thanks. I was running AEV HC 3" springs. They are hands down the BEST constant load springs. I still had a tiny rake to level stance with the camper + swingout tire carrier and bike rack (~1200lb). I cannot recommend them enough for a minimum 700lb constant load. You need that weight in back...
Traded in my Gladiator and kept the good stuff. Selling my perfect condition Diode Dynamics Elite Max LED headlights with all wiring harnesses, adjustor aiming knob, instructions and even the factory packaging. These are hands down the very best LED headlights on the market. They out perform...
Oh I will :) I gotta keep up on the trends and finally see if a V8 ever comes to fruition in the JT. I am still on the FJ Cruiser forum from over a decade ago. I love all things cars/trucks.
It was highly considered but unfortunately not. It is a gas powered full size though. Sorry, I'm not trying to be cryptic but I'd rather stay away from the conversation of the new purchase and just say that I think the Gladiator is still the best mid-size truck platform for modifications and...
We are stepping up to a full size truck for longer trips with the Scout Tuktut and a little more room. We are no longer taking the "wheeling" overland trips like we used to and plus all of our camping couples are now in full size rigs so we all tend to hit the same trails and terrain together.
Hey folks,
I would like to say thank you for a wonderful 5 years as a part of this Gladiator community. This truck brought my wife and I so much joy and took us on countless (memorable) adventures over the past 5 years. I must admit I probably enjoyed the modifications just as much as the...
Thank you and I appreciate kind words. I've been a member for a while and I'm going to say goodbye still... and I will not complain or give a departure speech on the JT either.
