Yes, goes down the sides too and bolts in the sides, not just a top. My wife has one in her JK as well from Vaultconsole.com. Not cheap, but worth it and good quality for valuables.

And also before I get lectured, I do not leave my firearms in the Jeep 98% of the time.
My setup when driving:
When not driving goes with me or in the locked vaultconsole.
Rarely 2% of the time would ever leave it in the Jeep. Most of the time or 98% goes with me.
My dealership did have me come in to document the customer request or create a case number and ordered them with no questions asked because there was a TSB issued on the problem. I just said I wanted them replaced before I have a major problem and referenced the TBS as a known quality problem...
I did the same setup, but rested the front on a 6 inch thick box to relax the angle a little. Then covered the top up with a blanket. Seems fine, but I need to invest in a hoist or something better at some point.
Because my wife’s JK is MUCH taller with her 3.5” lift (inferior budget brand) and believe me I hear about my “low rider” every week. Plus, I just took my top off and lost 2 more inches in height.
It’s embarrassing!
Some minor upgrades:
Moved my medical bag and tool kit to the backseat mollie.
Added an organizer storage net between the seats. Perfect fit and easy to hook in.

Phyllis was really worried she would get blown out when...
Phyllis and I discuss in depth and decided since this pandemic in nearing the end to keep expenses down on her mask. She had a much better idea to order some ARC Off-road door storage wall hangers for the gladiator and JK. This way we will be ready to roll when this stay at home order is lifted...
Took me 10 months but I finally got her top off and yes, summertime is calling me... Time to get into the wind. Doors come off in a month when it gets a little warmer. Then she will be totally naked all summer. ☀️ Bought her a little Mopar cab cover for those chilly garage nights.

Get the Gladiator and keep the Tesla as the daily driver. I put 32k miles on my Gladiator within 8 months and finally bought a Hyundai Ioniq hybrid (54 mpg) as my daily driver. The Gladiator is now a garage queen and the money I save on gas and wear/tear on Gladiator pays or justifies for the...
My wiring from the mirror was originally for an Escort 9500 and now a Cobra Roadscout radar detector/dash cam combo, meaning with a dash cam included in the radar detector.
The way I understand it, if just a dash cam you will have to wire through the fuse box or AuX switches. Someone else would...
Upgraded the Gladiator to the status of “Garage Queen”. She was getting way too many miles (32k already) to last long term. So I bought her a little buddy and new daily driver for me that gets 55MPG or 630 miles on one tank of gas . I plan to keep the Gladiator naked all summer and she is now a...
