I have one in my JT and JK. To me it’s a must have for doors on or off. Also had one in my Ram truck for 10 years before trade it in for the JT. You won’t be disappointed.

You are correct in your assumptions on all questions. Yes, there is double wall. Screw into the the inner wall inside the console only. I don’t think the screws would protrude to outer wall but to be sure I stopped tightening about a 1/8” before fully threaded. Still really happy with the safe...

I have the same one and didn’t lose any distance compared to the OEM antenna. Mine will pick up 70 miles away, then start to drop off. I did have to put some blue Loctite on the screw threads as the wind kept wobbling it loose.

Thanks Alex and Jeep Cares Team for taking care of this for me. Installed under warranty today and these replacements are much thicker and more durable inner fenders. I appreciate it!
