There is nothing in the doors or floors. I used SoundSkin Pro (4 roll kit will do it all) in my JT doors (all 4) and floor boards. Lowered about 4 decibels overall on the reading and improved the stereo sound. Put Hushmat and polyfill in the roll bar and that also improved the Alpine Premium...
I’ve had my grips on for over a month now and don’t think they could scratch the roll bar. You do have to pull them tight with the Velcro, but it’s a cloth material.
I don’t think it should compete. You unplug the male/female from the Gladiator, then plug the new harness into each end adding the by-pass. I can take a picture if needed.
Here is a video I found on utube that explains the install and location. This should help.
Added the Bushwacker stone and bug guard...
I like it!

There is a plastic neck on the JT mirror with autodim, so I know the blendmounts will not work (tried it) unfortunately. Then went with the 3M press on glass mount. It’s holding well after 3 months.
WhatExit:
1) To access the rearview mirror housing pull at the bottom on both sides toward the rear of the Jeep or pulling toward yourself while seated. This completely frees the bottom tabs.
2) Then pull the top clips out the same way, basically straight out toward the rear of the Jeep...
To access the wiring, there are two pieces. The smaller is near the mirror neck, pulls down and snaps out. Then you can get to the harness. You do not need to remove the mirror at all, just work around it.
I’m traveling, but can send some pictures next weekend if still needed.
I’m planning to remove these poster board thin inner fenders when I upgrade my tires and add something metal and nice. Until then, I went the tie wrap and push pen approach for now to buy me time before this rub destruction happens to me. Here are some pictures of what I did to tighten things up...
