Howdy,
I'm up in the Northwest near Warren. Hour southeast of Erie. LOts of Gladiators and Wranglers around me but not much in the way of wheeling. Around here for Clubs are the Erie Jeep People and Warren Wranglers. Gladiator doesn't wheel a TON it's the daily. my 98 XJ on 35s is for...
True, only reason I believed them was because it was badged "sport" but had the 2 piece fenders, the Mopar headliner and the Mopar Katskin leather seats and the spray in bedliner and the bigger 285/70/R17s BFG KO2 tires. Also had a Camper Shell already installed.
I don't think so. They have a plate or something. This was built Dec 2020 though. The build sheet simply calls it the "Body Color Fender Flares (2 piece)"
Main reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking about the American Adventure Labs fender chop:
I removed the 60 in the 60/40 rear seat and built a plywood platform for my German Shepherd. It saves my leather from mud and claws. I bought a pad from K9 Ballistics so he'd be comfortable. I'll try to post a pic of it here shortly
I feel really stupid asking this question but What are the different fenders styles?
Rubicon Fenders (same ones the Mojave has, right?)
Sport
Sport S ????
and a Max Tow fender?
I have a 21 Sport but it's got two piece painted fenders. I thought they didn't come that way. But I was also told by...
There used to be an offroad park near Altus OK (SW corner) called the Copper Mines. They were only open for 5 years or so. Wild bunch out there. I'm pretty sure the owner still plays out there with his closest buddies. There was another place north of there called Buzzard Canyon. No Idea if...
Not a fan of angry grills but don't care enough to care. The one thing that does get me are the enormous wheels with rubberband tires. Your tire diameter should be twice the size of your wheel diameter. Running 17" wheels? Looks dumb till you're at least running 33s. preferably 35s. Yes, I...
You've got damage on the left bumper side, the left side of the hood seems a little high and the left side freedom panel is moved forward. I'm seeing a pattern. I'd take the freedom panel off and then reinstall to see if it's still off. That front pin attaches to the winshield frame. The bed...
The short answer: I wanted toggle switches and s-switch gave me the ability to do it.
Long answer:
Well, I knew from the start I wanted my own switches. I had an auxbeam panel before, and while it was effective, I'm more of a tactile person and wanted the positive feedback of the toggle...
It's still an evolving project! I've added MagnetMic mic mounts on the sides of the box to hold the mics. I still want to clean up the wiring up top some more but I did get with S-Tech Switch Systems to get their relay box and wires so I could run a much thinner wire down the side of the...
Same here. I've got gmrs (midland275) and the Uniden bearcat CB in mine. I prefer the controls on the mic. There just isn't enough space in the Jeep interior for multiple radios mounted where I can reach the controls. So the radios get put up on top of the overhead molle panel and the mics are...
You hit the nail on the head right there. I'm not sure why, but straight bolt on stuff is kind of a let down. I guess I miss the FAFO of it. I don't have the fabrication equipment (or skills) to do custom builds but my favorite childhood memory was putting the built '74 307 and posi rear end...
