Well if you want to see what your max tow can do, pulling a travel trailer to Branson will do it. The inclines out here are very steep and for the most part it did very well. Most of the time it dropped to 5th gear and did 50mph on the climb. There were some inclines that it dropped to 4th and...
Just got back from northern Wisconsin with our 17ft trailer. The drive home was better because I was just manually shifting the whole way. Keeping it between 6th and 7th gear at 65mph seemed to be a much better ride.
Driving to Branson, MO on Tuesday with it next. My wife and I have decided to...
I believe the only reason that discount code doesn’t work right now is they are running a gift card promotion right now. Which depending how much you buy is better than the 10% off.
Dropped my truck back off to have the RCV axle shafts installed, Reid Racing steering knuckle and Mishumoto trans cooler. Also for them to fully weld the truss since it wasn’t done right.
I’m running at 65mph pulling a wolf pup 17jg. I feel the axles could benefit from being geared higher though. The Gladiator is a stock max tow, but I do have a non max tow gladiator geared to 4.88 and it’s amazing.
Dana 44 is what all Gladiators come with. There are also the max tow axles or the rubicon axles which are 1.5” wider than normal. Dana 60 axle would be if you want an upgraded axle to run 40” plus tires.
If you want an upgraded front axle Dynatrac and Currie make an upgraded 44 axle.
If the batteries are fully charged the alternator doesn’t charge. But when you come to a stop or coast the alternator charges, which is completely normal. Both my Gladiators do this.
I decided to just get LOD Destroyer bumper, it fits what I want for the price point. The Fab Fours bumper has the nice sides, but I don’t like that it’s double the cost of the LOD bumper. For that price I can just get the LOD bumper and some backup lights.
Living in Wisconsin I hate dealing with rust. I would much rather pay the $$$ and have thicker 7075 aluminum. Better than dealing with rusting steel, it’s not the end of the world though. The front bumper I purchased is the rock hard 4x4 aluminum bumper and their aluminum skid plate setup.
Are there any aluminum rear bumpers out there besides GenRight, EVO, Red summit machine works. Red summit fits what I like but it gets rid of the stock hitch, which I really don’t want to get rid of. I wish LOD had their bumper in aluminum because I like that design with the wrap around and the...
Ox locker is getting me a new cover, the other one is completely botched from the welder.
I had them installed with the electrical actuators. I’m using an spod for the switching. The Spod is switching a relay coil which is switching the grounds.
