That looks like an ingenious tool for helping to install wheels. Did you come up with that yourself? I Just installed a 1" spacer up front and decided to rotate the wheels while I was at it. My back can't handle these heavy ass wheels and tires anymore.
Bought my CAI for the sound. Yup. That's it. When I romp on the gas it sounds like that old 4 barrel carb on my 78 Chrysler going up the hill leaving the the high school parking lot. :) If JT had a V8 in it, I'd have put an exhaust on it instead. I'm confident it adds 0 horsepower. Maybe...
Sport S with 33" tires (I have recalibrated with JScan), I was getting 15.6 on the interstate. 75mph average speed. Good news is it only dropped to 13.3 when I was towing.....:(
BAM. $737 shipped. Not sure I'm going to run the halo wires. The factory halos are much dimmer than the side DRLs. I'm not a fan of how that looks. Plus when it's time to trade in, I can remove the LED headlights and sell those complete with the harness.
I painted the inside satin black. Used the ACE brand Krylon equivalent. Used a wax and grease remover to clean prior to paints (I keep a gallon of that stuff around all the time). I masked off the spots that the HotHeads are sticking to and didn't really bother painting the areas that they...
My total cost for the headlights shipped from BAM was $738. It does say there is a lead time. I ordered on 12/4, received on 12/23. I saw the DV8. They were sold out and not much less than I paid for the OEM. ?‍♂️ I'm not sure I'm going to wire up the halos as I'm not a fan of the dimmer...
Part number for the headlights is 82215136AE. Mine shipped today. Instructions can be found here.
As I understand it (from reading the many posts on this forum) they plug right in. They do need an additional wire for the DRL and a JScan, dealer program or Tazer may be required.
The silver on the Venator skid plate is not as bright as the silver accents in the plastic bumper. I would actually call it gray. It's a single piece and could easily be powder coated if you wanted.
A re-gear will make a big difference. You will be able to use 5th & 6 more. Backing up will be easier. But there is no guarantee that after the re-gear you'll be happy with it. Perhaps someone has a re-geared manual with 37's that you can get a ride with? Even if you had to fly somewhere...
My advice to the OP, test drive one before buying a 6MT. I typically only buy manuals. My wife only wants to drive manuals. I was excited to think I could have a truck with manual now. I was disappointed by the manual Rubicon I drove. The acceleration is well below the auto. The may be off...
I bought these sensors and had them installed when my tires were mounted on to the new rims. I had zero issues. The truck picked them up without any tuning, reset or programming. All I did is drive. ?‍♂️
I didn't want to have to pull the OEM sensors out of the stock wheel/tire combo. That will...
