I would consider making a trip of it at 1K miles...that price insane. If you can make a genuine vacation out of it, consider them an awesome souvignier.
I have had the same thought....In my head I already have a radius im willing to drive but, living in central florida, im pretty much limited to florida. Someone will sell a set at some point...Patience :ontheloo:
something to consider is how long you plan on keeping the jeep. If you intend this to be a long term vehicle, then the insurance claim and/or body shop repair is not going to matter much, especially in 5+ years. (Long term).
Most shallow subs dont fit. There is only like an inch+ towards the top part of the box. Infinity and earthquake are the onlyones i could find that fit. They only handle 150rms
certified 3rd party mechanic when ever possible if I cant fix myself. An independent mechanic is more likely to care about their reputation and quality of their work.

This should fit...super shallow depth and plenty power for a decent upgrade...
He basically said this before thats why I haven't reached out to/bugged him about it. This was only last week and he said he was following up when fix was ready. No point nagging hime if he just stated they are working on a solution.
Just to add to the speaker upgrade discussion... I installed the MB quart 3.5 in the dash the other day. They are certainly an improvement over OEM.
