    This makes so much more sense to me. I had/have the exact same experience. I'm now stuck running high-octane. If I go low-octane for a fuel-up, it knocks around like a bat.

    Just took mine to Leith Auto Park Chrysler Jeep (to handle that dreaded misfire problem, no less). Service advisor was knowledge and helpful. 10/10 will go to that dealership again (at least until the warranties run out).

    A few days and few hundred miles since the dealer installed the powertrain control module flash per TSB 18-053-20 REV. B, and I'm happy to report all symptoms are gone. Here's the TSB and the invoice for JTs w/ similar symptoms and January 2020 build date. Hoping it can help someone else.

    I notice significant differences when I put in 89 octane fuel or higher—it idles better, shifts smoother, and accelerates faster. It sucks, but I'm not putting in anything less than 89 into this engine ever again.
