Tent (225# on side of box; Old Dominion receipt states 300#), 270° awning (also heavy AF), and exterior weather cover arrived today. Still waiting on the interior insulation to be delivered.
Trying to brainstorm how to use my Jeep's winch to lift the XL on top of my ARE HD bed cap. My garage's 7'-tall entrance won't let me drop it from the ceiling and drive out. Maybe a gantry-type situation using the pole of a cement-based driveway basketball hoop?
How do you do it?
I had the Winch2Go for years as an insurance policy, knowing I could shackle it to double the strength to 9klbs. But, I never ended up using it and sold it 2 years later for $50 less than the original price.
Cascadia Vehicle Tents (CVT) is liquidating their 2024 inventory with (no joke) nearly 90% off their tents and overlanding accessories. I called to make sure it wasn't a scam, and it's legit. Said after more than 10 years running with the same models, they're refreshing everything for 2025 and...
Fuck! Why didn't you release this last yearrrrrr! I bought a new bumper when I couldn't find one that integrates a brush guard into the bumperrrrrrrrr.
(might buy it anyway đź’¸)
Holy shit this is exactly what mine have been doing too! What a spot on description. My driver side front and rear are making these noises and the replacement shocks are also on backorder, per the dealer.
Amazing. Thanks for the reply. Im headed in the same direction (37s + AEV Mojave lift). I fear our underbelly and break over angle moreso than our rock crawling flex.
Swapped out the factory halogen fog light bulbs for LEDs: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01A1YU2TS. They're alright—better than halogens, but not as bright as I was hoping. Had to adjust the angle of the fog lights a lot to get them down towards the pavement more.
Also added a smaller light bar. It...
From what I've learned, such a system would deal with immense amounts of stress as the bed flexes independently from the cab—only connected by the frame 3-4 feet below where the cab roof meets the bed cap roof. The necessary pivot angle at the top of a topper that cool would far exceed the...
"Fabbed" a relay mount out of a sheet of 22-gauge steel from Home Depot, 2 coats of rattle-can bedliner, and some electrical tape. I'm actually quite pleased with my work! And it provides lots of space for future aux cables and accessories.
Right!? That's cheaper than most winch plates! I felt the price alone was worth the risk of any potential lack-of-quality. But everything—from the packaging and welds to the spare fasteners and installation guide—was nothing but quality.
