I cannot fully express how disappointing a MY21.5 is. I have waited this long, can't decide if I'm a bigger sucker for waiting longer or what. If the used market wasn't absolutely insane I'd do it, but it's hard to find one with the options I want.
I don't really care if there are minimal adjustments, I'll just be pissed to be paying more for the same thing - and then pissed again when/if they do the updates 6 months from now instead.
Simple, you own the car not the battery. Would make the buy-in costs hella cheaper too. Just like buying a cordless drill without the battery is a lot cheaper.
Not that I've seen, but I'll start a rumor - I read about the new MY22 Voyager this morning, and it comes standard with a 7" UC5 head unit. The JL news says that all non-sports get a base 7" unit now, but didn't actually specify UC version. So, I still have hope that the while the form factors...
Nah, it just means the MY22 isn't out yet, so it's not on the list yet ... right?
In other news, I was replying/quoting your post earlier as you were editing it, and I saw half of your draft edit. I was like - that's not what I quoted!
Noice.
Now how about some JT news, anyone? I've seen the nothing JL list, was disappointed UC5 wasn't called out on it, but I suppose it's still possible.
Thanks for the intel. Odd to me that MY21 JT orders were halted what seems like an eternity ago, but in that thread they mention MY21 JL orders are still being accepted.
Yep, the package has a different cost based upon the transmission you choose. The automatic includes something the manual does not, forget what exactly it is. Remote start maybe? I forget.
Notice the lack of units. See, you think he means MY22- but what he really means is 22 months! I'll revisit this then and decide that the units must have actually been ... seasons?
If UC5 doesn't happen, I'll get a USB dongle and do the armrest mod for wireless charging. It would just be nice for those things to be integrated is all.
I'd consider it a future-proofing option. It would be nice to see them update the platform, and I would think UC5 would have the capability to support more cameras and such even if it takes a Tazer or similar to unlock it.
