I had a '22 Willys XR with the 2.0T, with the factory BFG 35's and 4.88's, it literally ran like a Maserati. I could break those 35's loose anytime I wanted. ( From a stop) It was the 12th. and funnest Jeep I ever owned.
I know it's not JT related, but have any of you checked out the '24 2 door Willys? Looks like a nice compromise between Sport and Rubicon. A guy could just level it out with flat fenders, 35's and call it good. Comes with 2.0T, 8 speed, rear locker and 4.10's. That thing would fly. Optional...
After that, rebrand the dealership, dub yourself "For the People" and have every Wrangler/Gladiator PDI include a complete front end torque, camber and toe inspection. Focus on customer satisfaction instead of bottom line, be honest and do a little more than your customers expect. People will...
I would have set up a dash cam facing forward, video the whole thing, slam that piece of shit into a tree, go back to the dealership with a woman and three kids in neck braces and ask where to go to have the dealership signed over to you.
I apologize for the breach of etiquette, It's perfectly acceptable for someone to knowingly sell you a defective product, take your money, not honor a written warranty, then leave you stranded with no transportation for weeks on end, as long as they call you "Sir" and smile. I guess you could...
Tell the service manager he's going to look pretty funny trying to eat corn on the Cobb without any fucking teeth. If you give him some stern words, then pull down your pants and bend over, he WILL rape you.
Yeah, I don't play corporate money games, and I don't get oil samples on new vehicles. I'll use it like I have every other vehicle I've owned for the last 40 years, if it fails prematurely, and Jeep/Stelantis are honorable people, they'll repair or replace it, if not, I'll go Albanian on them...
So, here's what mine does: On startup, I get the normal 3-5 second clatter until the filter pressures up, it goes into warm up idle for about 1-2 minutes, drops down to around 600-900 rpm, depending on ambient temperature, then starts ticking like there's a lifter failure for about 1 minute...
I had a '22 Willy's XR with 2.0T, it was a perfect blend of power, torque, gear ratio and tire size. there's quite a bit of difference between the two motors, especially at altitude. a 3.6 with 8 speed would benefit greatly from 5.13's.
There's spacers available, but I'm guessing you have adjustable control arms? Are you getting driveline vibration? If your caster is correct, I don't think you'd have a driveline angle issue, the rzeppa's are pretty forgiving. Do you know what your caster angle is? I'll see if I still have my...
Yeah, I don't know, I've never lifted anything that much. Could be they are counting on lifts 4.5" to have the Xfer case lowered with spacers? Just a guess.
There's quite a bit of angle change from 2.5" to 6", 2" of front end lift is a leveling, and has hardly any change. Those LCA's are +5/16", and are perfect for 0-2.5" of lift. Jeep's warranty covered Mopar 2" lift is 2"rear, 3-3.5" front and comes with +1/4" LCA's. I put my Rubicon coils...
Did you order front coils? Once everything is installed, I would recommend an alignment shop familiar with Jeeps, you'll need to have the drag link adjusted to move steering wheel back to center, and have the toe checked and/or adjusted.
