Depending on your height you could do something like a softopper and a DAC tent (not sure how well it would work if you're tall...I'm only 5'4" so it's an easy option for me). I've heard great things about the easy setup/takedown of the Gazelle tents, with the primary drawback being they take up...
I'm running the 35 Duratracs on my Mojave and they are excellent. If anything, the ride might be smoother than the stock Falkens (simply due to having more sidewall to absorb bumps). No regrets at all (though I'd be all in if GY would make the Duratrac in a 37!!!).
You just log into the USAA site and click on the auto maintenance section and it will provide a link...clicking on that link opens the Goodyear Tire site and then 25% discount is already in the cart.
I'm running 35x12.50R17s on my Mojave and love them. They're every bit as quite as the Falkens were that came on it, IMO. I got over 50k miles on my last set of Duratracs, and they performed flawlessly on family vacations, snow driving, beach driving, and I just plain like how they look. If...
That would never work...the launch editions were sold out within hours of the reservation system going online last July. Ford even doubled the number of launch editions, but they were snatched up in a heartbeat.
Looks like a great trip! I grew up in the NC mountains and love that area. How was the tent in the rain? The fly doesn't look like it extends far enough to cover the windows completely.
What are your thoughts on the rack over the softopper? Waiting on my Bestop topper to arrive and I keep going back and forth on if the rack will make it a pain to use the soft topper, or if I'll be glad I did it for the ability to carry kayaks/etc. over the top of it.
The softopper has the ability to attach via the trail rail system (they offer two types of clamps, one for the trail rails and one for folks without them). The only other soft shell I am aware of is the Bestop and that one sits on top of the bed rails so it doesn't fit your requirements.
I've never actually put a decal on a vehicle before (kinda crazy now that I think about it)...so did you do a windshield tint strip on the inside and decal on the outside, or how does that work?
For reference, I got the part # 6KM541XFAA for the Mopar decal for others looking at this.
Loving my Mojave so far. First Jeep I've bought with the intention of at least trying to keep it stock height, so we'll see how that goes. Added some 35s on new wheels and she rides and drives perfect. The 6spd doesn't seem to blink an eye with the 35s so I won't be doing any gearing changes...
I’ve always lifted my vehicles, but I bought the Mojave with the idea that I might be able to leave it stock height for a while at least (with a 5 mo old and a 2.5 yr old lifting kids into a tall rig isn’t easy considering I’m only 5’4”). Put some 35s and new wheels on her and it rides and...
New take-offs from my 2021 Mojave with less than 700 miles on them. Happy to sell them as a set of 4, or if you want singles that's fine as well. Already in the boxes that my new wheels came in, so easy to ship. Boxes weigh 28 lbs total, and measure 20x20x12. My zip is 24060 (Blacksburg, VA) in...
Haven't read through all the posts, but honestly road spray isn't bad at all. I wouldn't hesitate to run no doors and drive in the rain (and even with the top down if you're doing hwy driving you won't get wet as long as you're doing over 30 or so.
