  1. Punctures in large tires

I'd probably use a drill bit and a drill in an emergency situation. Then get the plug / glue in there, fill it with air. Then get a patch once you get to a tire shop. One of the main reasons I got rid of my wheels. Too heavy and cumbersome.
  2. Weight Distribution Percentage (not the hitch)

The bedliner probably helps bring it closer to 50/50 as well if it is lined.
  3. Blasphemy I know....

The stock tires are hideous. lol
  4. Blasphemy I know....

Get a second set of black sport steel wheels. They look good with mud terrains and are cheap. IMO
  5. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.

I had a Wrangler Sport and I 100% agree with you. The manual trans has terrible ratios. I regretted my purchase and traded it in for an Auto JT the same week I test drove an auto Rubi JL.
  6. Trading my 2022 GMC HD (gas) for a new 2021 Gladiator Rubicon

I just sold my commuter 19' VW Jetta for $3500 more than what I paid new. It was a leftover I bought in 2020. I had a ton of positive equity because I almost paid it off in a year. So, I got a 13K+ check in the mail. I'm commuting in the Gladiator for now and I will probably get a beater until...
  7. Mopar Tonneau tri-fold: no hardware...is there hope?

They all look like nuts, bolts, and washers. If you go to a hardware store. You can probably get everything you need. I can't tell what 6-8 is.
  8. Clear Coat Flaking?

I thought it was bird poo. I don't know if anything was actually on there. Once I gave it a hand wash, that's when I realized it was the clear "not poo". I didn't know bird poo could do that. It's never happened to any of my other cars. Good to know it's not poo resistant. lol I do live on the...
  9. Clear Coat Flaking?

So I was thinking, I forgot that I had warranty work on it a few months ago. The right rear axle was replaced due to a heavily leaking seal. I wonder if somehow they got brake fluid on it. I will never know because I didn't notice it when I picked it up. It didn't look as bad until now...
  10. Clear Coat Flaking?

That's the plan. I've had a bunch of cars & a few motorcycles. I've never seen paint flake like that except older cars that have sat in the sun. They don't look like round drips / splatter. More like sharp flakes. Not being a paint professional to identify defects.
  11. Clear Coat Flaking?

Yeah it did. I usually do touchless car washes. So I did a few of those and noticed it wasn't coming off. That's when I noticed it was the clear that was flaking.
  12. Clear Coat Flaking?

That's what I was thinking too, but it hasn't ever been in for service. I never worked on it either. I just got the first oil change done and I noticed before I took it in. Unless these birds have some corrosive poo. ?
  13. Clear Coat Flaking?

I have a 21 Willys JT. I noticed a while back that my trucks fender had some spots on it. I thought it was bird poo. Now looking closely and after a good wash. It seems like the clear is flaking off in this specific area on the fender. My 18' Wrangler JLs grille had a chunk of paint coming...
  14. Decided against Lift Kit, but what do I spend my money on now?

I got the Beamtech H13 LED bulbs (No Fan) and LASFIT 5202 LED Fog Light bulbs. I was 99% dead set on getting Projectors and wanted to give it a try. I do not regret my choice. These are great quality and far beyond my expectations. The headlights have a really good cutoff as long as you adjust...
  15. Unsold Mojave

I think you will be happiest with the 4 Runner. It's more comfortable and smooth on the Freeway. You can't beat the support from Toyota either. My GF is a Toyota Service advisor and the company stands behind their products. One thing to note. The Gladiator does feel long. Especially turning...
  16. Unsold Mojave

On my other post. I mentioned the Mojave being best on Sand.
  17. Unsold Mojave

It's only my opinion. I think the Gladiator is a truck first before a Jeep. The best offroad midsize truck. With an emphasis on the "midsize". The reason why I say that and why I feel like I can say that. I owned a Wrangler before the Gladiator. It can't touch it offroad. The break over and...
  18. Unsold Mojave

Max Tow > Mojave > Rubicon > Willys > Sport In my opinion. Why? It's a truck. I would imagine people bought a truck to be a truck. Although this "truck" is the most offroad capable truck. You will get the most out of a Max Tow. Still has Dana 44 wide axles and LSD. Best all around. Why do I...
  19. Broken Tab/Weld on Mojave Frame..No warranty !!!!

I would definitely think they over torqued the bolt. But either way. It's an easy fix. $800+ dollars for a weld. Just get a shop to fabricate something better and weld it on for like 1/8th of that cost. Probably a muffler shop can do it for super cheap. Maybe a high grade steel or something. Hit...
  20. Willys Shift Points & Tires

I've wondered if Jeep corrected the speedo and shift points for the Willys Auto for the 32s Mud Terrain Tires. Does anyone know for sure? I feel like my speedo reads a few MPH high and my MPG is also slightly off.
