  1. Quality Issues

@jeepmojo All of those issues should be under warranty. Sounds like a terrible experience, but not uncommon issues. Too bad the manager didn't want to document your problems. They get paid far less for warranty work.
  2. Are body colored fender flares more expensive than black ones?

Have you thought about a flat black / matte wrap? I had the black textured fenders on my Wrangler and they faded pretty fast. I liked them, but a lot of people complain about fading 6+ months into ownership. It gets a dull grey looking color.
  3. Are body colored fender flares more expensive than black ones?

Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong. I think painted fenders are more common in higher trim levels. I believe Overlands are strictly painted? Like the Sahara Wrangler.
  4. Are body colored fender flares more expensive than black ones?

It would probably be cheaper to go through a body shop than the dealership. They will probably send it out anyway. There are two different kinds of fenders. The textured plastic and "Unpainted" Paintable Fenders. Get a few quotes from reputable places.
  5. So there i was at Pismo

I live 5 mins from the dunes. About 10 mins from Oceano / Pismo. Any other locals?
  6. Surprising Jeep Damage

My incident was more of a road rage. He swiped me on the side and tried to take off. Went around a roundabout and I pulled in front of him. He hit me a second time head on and throttled out. Taking out his front end, fender, doors, quarter panel. All I had was bumper damage and a scratch on my...
  7. Surprising Jeep Damage

It's not what I believe. It's fact. It actually happened to my own personal Jeep. It's not meant to protect it from getting totaled on a high speed collision, but it would absorb a pretty decent hit.
  8. Surprising Jeep Damage

Those weak little tin can crush stoppers. They are pretty weak, but that's what they're supposed to do.
  9. Surprising Jeep Damage

I disagree. I had a head on collision. Only thing damaged was the bumper. I got one on Ebay for $200. The Accord was totalled. My airbags did not deploy.
  10. Surprising Jeep Damage

I had a head on collision with my JL. It was relatively low speed, but totalled the Honda Accord. I just replaced the front bumper.
  11. OEM Power Door Lock Conversion w/ Remote Start

@AllMoparParts.com Do you have these for a 2021 Rubicon? -All four door OEM Door Harnesses -All four door OEM Electric latches. I believe these should wire up to the OEM Sport Jeep Harness according to the Wrangler Forum for Wranglers. I'm hoping the Gladiators are the same. I am going to...
  12. OEM Power Door Lock Conversion w/ Remote Start

Has anyone been successful? I came across this post on the Wrangler Forum for an OEM Power Door Lock Conversion with Remote Start. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/add-power-locks-and-remote-start-to-jeep-sport-unlimited-jl.61486/ I am planning on getting the -OEM Door...
  13. Just ordered 2022 Sport base w/ Auto in Washington State.

I want to do the same, but I want to avoid carrying a second remote. The Jeep fob is already a good size. I hope someone comes up with a solution.
  14. Paint Question

Was it corrosion? I don't think it's been reported on the Gladiator. Would be great to know. It was running through my Wrangler at an incredible pace.
  15. Bed Protection Options with Tonneau Cover

I got Line X. If I could do it over again, I would have gone with a Bedrug and side molle panels. The Line X gets pretty dirty with heavy fog every morning. I live a few minutes from the beach. So fog / moisture collects and streaks on the bedsides. Making it look line runs. Although it does...
  16. ESS with 6MT Possible Life Hack

When I had my Wrangler. I just slipped it into neutral at every red light. I would time it and pay attention to the lights. I would shift to first and take off normally. ESS rarely engaged. I don't hold the clutch in gear while I'm stopped.
  17. Possible new JTR from current JLR owner

If you have not driven an auto. Drive one before you buy another manual. I had a manual and I traded it within two days of test driving an auto. I had the manual for two years because I buy all of my cars in a manual if it's available. This is the only time I ever regretted it. It was like...
  18. What Jeep should have done with the rear window

Back to the Hybrid Top idea. The complete top would be two separate pieces. The entire roof would be a soft top and the back piece around the back would remain fiberglass and glass. Thus a hybrid of the two. Keeping the ability to remove one of the other. Essentially like a Sunrider, but...
  19. Willys sport with proximity locks?

I think he was specifically was inquiring about the Willys Sport. Not the higher spec Willys.
