  1. 2013 Jeep shuts off at highway speed

When it dies and does not start is the time to do some diagnosis. Is it getting spark? If it is getting spark, will it start and run a second or two with starter fluid? Otherwise, fire the parts cannon and empty your wallet.
  2. Mopar Tonneau Cover weatherstripping

Well, I sure made an incorrect assumption. I assumed that as an added on accessory this only had a 1 year warranty. It appears that the accessory has a 3 year warranty judging on the paperwork that came with it. Fingers crossed this is an easy fix.
  3. Mopar Tonneau Cover weatherstripping

I have a Mopar soft trifold tonneau cover and a piece of the weather stripping has gone missing. I have no idea when I lost it. The missing weatherstrip is one that would be on top when the cover is folded up. The weatherstripping piece just snaps onto the cover. I'd like to replace it, but I...
  4. Halogen Headlights are terrible

If you think these halogens are bad - they are an improvement over the Jk halogens. Still suck, but better than the previous Wrangler.
  5. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

As mentioned I just got a used 2020 JL. It wasn't as bad as my Gladiator was, but it went to the dealer who replaced th aluminum box with no fuss. I think my JL's steering might be better than my JT's, but it could be AT vs. MT tires.
  6. FCA Affiliate is back...

If you are ordering a 2022, nothing much is listed for 2022. You would need to buy a 2021 Gladiator. It is pretty straight forward: 2021 Gladiator remains eligible. 2021 Wrangler is no longer eligible. Neither is listed for 2022 eligibility (in fact few 2022 models are listed as eligible).
  7. What should I tell the dealership to get second steering box TSB fix?

The thing is the new dealer is going to know what's already been done. It's right there in your service history when they pull it up on their computer, even if it was done at another dealer. Therefore, the only option is to tell them "The repair was done. There is still a problem."
  8. FCA Affiliate is back...

It never left for Gladiator. Nothing has changed since October 1. 2021 Gladiator is still eligible. 2021 Wrangler is not.
  9. Can I tow this?

Exactly. The U-Haul trailer has surge brakes. They don't need a brake controller in your truck. You can read online the pros and cons of surge vs. electric brakes on a trailer.
  10. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

i've been happy since my Gladiator box was replaced. But Saturday we replaced our Grand Cherokee with a Wrangler and I'm back to the "watch every twitch of the steering wheel" mode in case it needs this TSB (and to be honest I haven't looked at what steering box is under it yet).
  11. 2022 Rumors?

I had Uconnect 5 in a 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. After a couple of updates, it was really nice. It would be a nice addition, though I'm not holding my breath for it.
  12. New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")

Lemon laws vary by state. You'll need to Google what applies in your case.
  13. Where have the standards gone? Dealer complaints etc.

It comes from the top down. A couple of examples: When Chrysler had the chance to cut dealerships in the bankruptcy many years back, they chose to cut dealers with poor sales records - not poor service records. The FCA decided (in states that did not prohibit it) a few years back to reduce...
  14. 2022 Rumors?

Stellantis this morning announced 2022 Changes for the Chrysler Pacifica and Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. I expect there will just be a low key press release like this when they release 2022 Gladiator details.
  15. 2022 Rumors?

It does not look like Gladiator Affiliate Rewards pricing was dropped, but Wrangler was. 2021 model year: Ineligible Vehicles: Ram TRX + Ineligible as of 10-1-2021: Durango, Wrangler (including 4xe), Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Ram 1500 DT Only 2022 Jeeps eligible so far was Wagoneer and...
  16. Bronco Sport rolls down the Black Bear Pass

A Wrangler suffered a similar fate there last year. I think it's a JK. JL may have better rollover protection than JK. https://www.thedrive.com/news/37023/this-jeep-wrangler-is-completely-unrecognizable-after-falling-off-colorados-black-bear-pass No idea if the actual falls and distance down...
  17. 2022 Rumors?

No, a model year can begin as yearly as Jan. 2 of the preceding year, but must end on or before Dec. 31. So a 2021 vehicle could be manufactured from Jan. 2, 2020 until Dec. 31, 2021. Jan. 1 2022 must be a 2022 model year. This is what the regulation is now. It wasn't always tht way.
  18. Convert to Wireless Android Auto

Besides Ram, it is on the 2021 Pacifica and the new Jeeps (Grand Cherokee L and Wagoneers). They only seem to add at a refresh or redesign.
  19. 2022 Rumors?

They never said it was a Gladiator 4xe, but this picture was posted and discussed on this forum some time back. It's obviously a 4xe and not a Wrangler. https://www.motor1.com/news/513557/jeep-gladiator-4xe-teaser-image/...
  20. 2022 Rumors?

There's already been a 4xe Gladiator image teased so it would not be a surprise if that is what it is. There's also the next gen "regular length" Gran Cherokee floating around for release sometime too.
