Unfortunately I do not have a link. Some of the items I used can't even be found on their website. Basically I had to email them and explain what I wanted. They then put the items in my shopping cart, so I could purchase them. Or just call them.
Correct.
The cross bars and legs are from FrontRunner. They told me 2 cross bars connected to the rails is strong enough for a 2-3 person tent, for the bigger tents they recommended 3 crossbars.
Hopefully before we use the tent heavily, I'll have a Diamondback HD to mount the crossbars to...
Can you do me a favor? Measure the distance from the inside of the tailgate to the hinge (for the rear panel).
I sometimes put a 100 gallon fuel tank in the bed, and I want to make sure it will still fit if the rear panel is folded front. I need 26"

Yeah I was seriously looking at adding the headache rack to the diamondback, but you have to drill new holes in the cover to install.
I don't mind drilling for the slide rails...I'll make sure they are water tight.
So I going to mount rails on top of the diamondback, that the cross bars slide onto (then tent on them). The rails will stay on the diamondback all the time, but cross bars and tent won't. Icantfi d a good picture for you, andfo t have I e setup yet. But if you youtu.be search for "overland last...
FYI - all the diamondback add ons require you to drill through the cover.
Eventually I'm going with the HD version, stronger is just better in my opinion. Especially since I plan on putting a tent etc on it.
Thanks for the information. If I can program in the gmrs etc, I'll probably just get the UV-82HP one. Because I'll use it more with crane ops versus offloading etc. I guess I better check into getting a license too. I just always assumed it was for higher powered units...not for headsets and...
Ok few questions.
I was looking over your first option suggestion. I like that it can communicate with the "store bought" hunting walkie talkies. But the higher channels it can only monitor, correct?
I have 3m peltor litecom plus communication for my tree and crane work, which apparently runs...
Pretty sure the pin doesn't go through the whole center. I think the holes (on each side) are there just to push the pins in, and therefore the have to be worked back out some how.
