  1. Radiator Cooling Fan Rub

I had my fan/shroud assembly out yesterday for cleaning. It isn’t too bad to do if you’re going to take it all out to work on. Reading your post, I checked mine and don’t see/feel any rubbing. I’m not sure where my slight wine is coming from… ??‍♂️
  2. where are you powering the winch?

When I ran my winch power lines I did not pull the air box and I found a reasonable line but between the air box and battery was tight. That was about 3 months ago. Yesterday I pulled my air box, the air intake tube (official name?), and the radiator fan and shroud assembly. All of this was to...

    Ever figure this one out?
  4. Radiator Fan Removal - How to? cleanup after some mud.

Thank you! I really appreciate the response!
  5. Door sill guard alternatives?

Interesting product. Post some pics and let us know what you think after you've got it installed!
  6. Radiator Fan Removal - How to? cleanup after some mud.

I did some digging and found the picture of the referenced alternator... bloody hell. That thing was more mud ball than alternator. I haven't had time to get into mine yet, but seeing as i've had no change in battery voltage, or any other signs of system failure (other than the noise) I'm...
  7. Door sill guard alternatives?

Thanks all. I appreciate the input. For some reason all notifications about responses started getting filtered into my junk folder so I only now saw your responses. Although my preference is green forested mountains, most of my time off road is spent on dry dusty trails in Mojave area, so i...
  8. Radiator Fan Removal - How to? cleanup after some mud.

Ahh OK good to know. Thanks, I'll check that. I haven't specifically looked for the alternator, hopefully it isn't too hard to access.
  9. Radiator Fan Removal - How to? cleanup after some mud.

I've looked around on this forum and Google to find any "how to" for getting the fan shroud loose/removed and haven't found anything. Do any of you have any experience / instructions/vids on this topic? Motivation for doing this is below. Basic background here, I took my JTR up to Big Bear...
  10. Tonneau owners : Armis soft roll up or Bak x4s?? About to pull the trigger on one

I have a BAK X4s and a Softopper. I started with the softopper for camping and after the trip I was annoyed at the lack of security so i bought a X4s (similar to a soft rollup tonneau). The hard rolling cover of the X4s is pretty great. It is very secure and easy to use. I've swapped back and...
  11. OnX app sucks!

I recently did a trip with OnX and was very disappointed. I downloaded maps ahead of time into the offline maps, both detailed maps and high level maps. Everything seemed fine until i stopped to get out of the Jeep to check out some local scenery. I got back in, started up the jeep and OnX...
  12. Should I get Bestop Supertop 2 w or w/o tonneau?

I don't have the fas-top, so I can't speak for how well it works. I just had heard about it and knew it fit what you were looking for. I'm sure someone on the forum here has it.
  13. Rear Transmission Seal Leak

yes theoretically you could, but then they would/could likely claim when you returned that you damaged it by driving it when told not to. In which case your warranty related to those items would likely be void. It does not seem like a smart path to take, IMO.
  14. Jeeps Parking Next To Jeeps

Nothing like finding fellow Gladiators on the trail to park next to! Mine is last in line in blue.
  15. Jeep Academy and hurricane Ian

    Have a great trip!
  16. Jeep Academy and hurricane Ian

Unfortunately I can't help answer your question, but I did want to say thanks for posting this as I wasn't familiar with Jeep Adventure Academy previously. I looked it up and it looks like a lot of fun.
  17. Lifted, new windscreen and problems resetting adaptive cruise control

This is just a guess, but due to the safety aspects of modifying an automated driving system, I would assume they keep it locked down to avoid liability.
  18. 4XE swapped JT

Previous discussion along these lines. https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/giving-the-4xe-conversion-some-serious-thought.57731/ What comes to mind first is Towing, and in turn cooling issues under load.
  19. Show me pictures of rocksliders that works as a running board.

I like these a lot but I've been concerned by any of these split designs that the center split would cause a hang-up spot. What I mean is, when sliding across a rock, the split would cause a spot to get stuck as opposed to a seamless path. But this is all just theoretical in my head, any...
