love my Mopar soft roll up. It gives me a way to protect cargo from prying eyes walking by and has been watertight for the most part while still gives me the option to use my full bed if needed

Like Commodus said, above.. the Mopar soft tonneau has been good to me. Even taking it through a carwash, I only get maybe 3-4 drops inside the bed... which is actually LESS than I get in the cabin, with the freedom panels in. LOL

That said, a cloth tonneau always makes me a bit nervous in sketchy areas. An inquisitive thief only needs a pocket knife to look inside.. whereas, a hard cover means they have to at least put some significant effort into it.

That is true but have you seen what a pry bar does to a tailgate trying to open a hard cover not pretty. If they are determined I rather they just cut my cover

I’d rather have a hard cover than soft so it’s harder to get into. yes it’s easy to cut a soft cover instead of damaging a hard cover, but I’ve never seen/heard of anybody prying open and destroying a hard cover. I’m sure it’s happened but casual thieves more likely to target something quick and easy, not crack a safe.
I have a Bak4, if starting over I’d get a retractable cover instead. I had a Yakima rack for skis and bikes and couldn’t roll up the cover with racks on. Some brands of retractable covers have t slots like the bak4 so you could still do low racks and still retract the cover. I would’ve taken that despite a little less bed room at front for the retractable reel.
Overall I’ve been happy with the bak4 though.

I have this hard cover and am going to be selling or trading it for a mopar soft roll up cover. The problem with the extang is; to use the whole bed you have to take the cover completely off and it's a pain. Soft cover will be fine for what I need

I have a BAK X4s and a Softopper. I started with the softopper for camping and after the trip I was annoyed at the lack of security so i bought a X4s (similar to a soft rollup tonneau). The hard rolling cover of the X4s is pretty great. It is very secure and easy to use. I've swapped back and forth between the two tops and currently have been sticking with the Softopper for the extra space when hauling stuff. If you can work with a tonneau cover then you'll be very happy with the X4s. Personally i want a softopper with just a little more security, like a blend between the two products. It all depends on your usage but regardless i think you'd be quite happy with the X4s unless your trying to put cross bars over the top of the bed, then the hard rolling covers are a bit more to work around compared to a soft roll up. Personally cross bars would constantly be in my way for how i use my truck.

I have the BAK 4XS roll up and it's been a great addition to my Gladiator. What I like about it is that the cover doesn't block my vision out the back window when open.

I like my Bak Revolver. When I got it, it was missing the foam pads to keep it from hitting the rear window if its not rolled tight enough. I need to start the process to get some.

If you might want a rack, the best solution right now is to run it with the Elevate rack which is fine... i just wish it was more adjustable. At some point I will be voiding the warranty by drilling some holes so it can sit just above the cab height.

If you order truck hero stuff, it seems to all work well enough... but be prepared to deal with customer service. Both Bak and Elevate are truck hero products. I had a ton of issues with my elevate rack that were eventually worked out and I am happy. Quality control doesn't seem to be their strong suit, but they seem to make things right in the end.

I've got the Armis rolling hard cover and it has been a good top. That said, I've been contemplating moving the BAK X4S for the ability to add a small rack with using the T-slots.

I might also consider one of the tops with a T-slot that rolls into the bed rather that on top.
