In my experience, getting the dealer to order a color that is just opening up is difficult enough. Getting the dealer and FCA to use other paint colors available at the Toledo shop would be a miracle. When we ordered my wifes Plum Crazy Purple Winter Edition JK, the dealer didn't even know...
If you're looking for better insulative qualities, I would wait and go aftermarket. Hotheads Headliners will likely make a set for the Gladiator. And then you have the benefit of being able to put down some dynamat, boommat or other soundproofing underneath. When I had my hardtop, I ran the...
If you look up from that section to the consoles and storage there is the following line:
Rear Seat / Wheelhouse / Cargo Carpet
From all the videos, it appears that the entire cabin is carpeted. Chances are it is like the Wrangler, it will be easy to remove with floor drain holes.
With the exception of the sub being behind the rear seats, the rest of the speakers should be in identical positions to the 4 door JL. 4 in the dash, 4 in the speaker bar.
The side and back panels classically zip off like the JK soft tops (unless they're updated to the same slide format as the JL's) and have the same lower plastic lip to make it taut.
CassieAtBestop,
Any chance we will be able to order it with mesh panels instead of solid?
Looks like those are both road show/dealer demo trucks. They don't offer the all black Rubicon wheels as an option. Probably pretesting for the MOAB special edition that should peek itself around summer 2019. Same thing they hinted at with the Hella Yella at the JL reveal last year.
Its possible they will line up, however there is the problem that the JL Rails end shortly after the passenger door angles up. This means youll have about a foot of the tub without protection.
Good catch, but just working through the menu's and selectable options these vehicles are going to be expensive as hell. Guess its time to see about selling the first born. For those wondering it appears that Jeeps trailer brake controller will replace the 12v cigarette outlet on the center stack.
I believe the Trail Rated badge is what is earned on the Rubicon. All Wrangler and Gladiator models (Sport, Sahara/Overland, and Rubicon) have run the Rubicon in testing and completed it. The Rubicon version of both is an appearance/equipment package that definitely makes the trail easier to...
Shooting for the stars here, I'd love to see someone use the same injection molding process to make a "hardtop" shell over a modular frame like the Jeep hardtop but for the bed. Maybe use the leitner design as a basis and have hard shell moldings with glass to put in the frame instead of the...
Realistically the manual should be able to tow as much as the automatic. It doesn't suffer the heat issues that the automatic does. However I have smoked the clutch trying to pull another jeep out of the mud, so I would guess that the clutch is the weak point over 5000lbs.
In one of the videos they already confirmed the 18" bed height. In a round about fashion. They mentioned the bed is 5 foot or 6.5 feet with the tailgate down. Just enough to hold things in and grab them easily.
Considering Bestops Trektop Pro has glass side windows integrated into the cloth it's a possibility. However Mopar has always offered a softop storage bag. Even for the plastic windows. It's more likely with 2 soft tops (standard and premium) that they will be the normal plastic.
Just judging off the JL and other Wrangler years, late availability means we will see those colors around July-Oct. Assuming they keep the same build schedule as the Wranglers there will likely be a couple weeks to order these colors before this years window closes. Then we should get the...
I had that on my Tacoma and it did work like a champ. The biggest downside is that there is no ventilation for anything back there. See my post above about traveling with dogs. I think there were mesh panels available for an extra price, but they were almost as expensive to buy as the whole...
What I would like to see is a modular bed rack like the one below with slots to add Bestop Panels on the tops and sides. I like to travel with my dogs and on long trips it would be nice to give them some shade and wind protection while still being able to carry all my supplies conveniently.
