Judging by the picture below plans may already be in the works for an aftermarket top that folds all the way down. Simply make the end of the rails attach to a pivot that connects to the bolt hole pictured. This would allow the entire top to rotate down against the back of the seats over the...
Yeah I don't think it would have been that difficult to have it fold all the way down. Bestop already does it for the 2 door Wrangler. The designers didn't want to create any interference in the bed with the top down. The top looks like its going to be small enough to be easily removed while...
According to the interview done by the LiteBrite crew, the top will not drop all the way down. It will be solely the sunrider position or completely off (for just the top portion). There are pictures out there with the rear window removed with the sides and top still on. Interview is below
I really want to wait for the diesel, but as they have yet to release it for the Wrangler I'm worried I'm chasing a unicorn. Maybe if we had some spy pics of them testing the diesel I'd feel more confident about it actually coming.
I see mount points on the side of the bed for what looks like a swing out bed extender.
@JAY Can you see if the other JT's have blacked out dual exhaust? Or is it likely a MOPAR upgrade?
I'd say the only guarantee is that Grey/Silver, Black, Red, and White will be offered. Hopefully they don't follow down the Ram path and solely pick muted colors...
I thought I read somewhere that Jeep actually has this type of functionality built into the 4WD system. When you activate 4-Low it turns off several of the safety systems in anticipation of being off camber.
Looks to me like they might be testing the soft top. There are a couple pics where the bag on the roof has flopped up a bit and the rain gutter looks like it is being overlapped by the top. Also it appears that the beer window is missing. The one with the forward collision has the beer...
If I'm going dollar for dollar, I'd probably go with a GMC Sierra AT4 with the Diesel. And I could likely get it for $10k less than MSRP. Sticker shock is going to really gouge the JT market if it comes out too unreasonably expensive.
I think the side bolster you are seeing is just additional camo. If you notice there is another panel in front of the rear fenders as well. They also look too angular to fit in line with the production steel bumpers that are on it.
I'd say the wheelbase will likely be still in the 126-128" range same as most other mid size trucks. If you look at the pics above most of the other brands have about a foot of truck in front of the tire. The JT does not. Instead they opted for it to hang off the ass end. I anticipate turn...

Quoting Jay from an earlier post, the frame alone is sitting at around 205 inches. Figuring another rough 7-8 inches for bumper to bumper puts you at 212-213. This would keep it right in line with the Tacoma/Colorado. Assuming they use the thinner profile seats of the JL's, the JT will have...
From what I've seen so far, its just the activity stirred up from the beginning of the month leak from FCA. There will most likely be nothing new for the rest of the month and the traffic will die down.
Sadly you will likely have to look at a full size for more rear seat room. The JT is looking to compete in the midsize truck range and the JL body and seats are part of that basis. That being said, alot of Tacoma owners have said that my JK had more rear seat room than their crew cabs. (The...
The longer they wait the less of a sure thing its going to be. GMC already announced the Sierra AT4 (Chevy Trailboss) will start at $43K and comes stock with a lot of Denali upgrades and the 3.0L Diesel will be an option. If the Jeep Truck is likely to start at $45K for the non-Rubicon trim, I...
It depends on how "lifestyle" FCA wants to go, but my bet is that they will be just like all the other trucks out there. Navy/Dark Blue, Maroon, three shades of darker greys, black and white. If it were my choice, it would be Gecko/Mojito, Hella Yella, Sting Grey, Chief, Pumpkin, Black...
I didn't see anyone mention it, but I think these are the two trims. The one with the exposed roof is running what looks like 33" Falken Wildpeaks and has the Rubicon electronic sway bar disconnect. The other running the Goodyear Wranglers does not. It also appears that the "Rubicon" trimmed...
